The restaurant was nice and well-kept, and the staff had tried to place us in a quiet place in the restaurant, but despite this, there were still some bad acoustics, where the sound moved a lot in the restaurant. The food was good and well prepared.

30/03/2024: Amazing and uniquely Japanese experience right here in Aarhus. Authentic Japanese atmosphere, warm sake and sushi served by a robot. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. There is a children play area. You can choose between the running sushi part of the restaurant, which has a more lively, bright and casual setting, and the newer, more quiet section where you're order is brought by a cute robot. Both are amazing and the sushi is great.

31/03/2024: Absolutely excellent. Delicious freshly prepared food that is served quickly in cozy surroundings, both upstairs and downstairs. Highly recommended!

02/03/2024: We have always been happy to visit Nara and have eaten at your place several times. Unfortunately, this time was the last time for us. The hot dishes were cold, small and very poorly presented. Sushi rice was very sticky. Beef skewers were inedible and ginger tasted very old. All in all a very disappointing experience.

25/03/2024: Good food - and good selection. QR code system once I got it, very easy. We had our own table in the back in a separate room, which meant we had guests now and again that came in that thought it was the bathroom. Would recommend and also return.

20/02/2024: Izumi in Denmark totally blew us away – it's definitely a five-star gem! The pork chop was a delightful surprise, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. And let's not forget the ad libitum sushi – endless rolls of pure deliciousness! The staff were super friendly, making us feel right at home. The vibe was relaxed, perfect for a laid-back meal. Overall, Izumi nailed it with their mouthwatering food and awesome service. If you're in Denmark and craving some top-notch sushi, Izumi is the spot to hit up – five stars without a doubt!

09/02/2024: Dissatisfied. I had booked a table for 20:00 with 2 of my mates and ended up being asked to wait outside until the table was ready. Ended up waiting 45 minutes and had to push the waiters 2 times to come in and sit at our table. When we are finally seated at the table, we have completed our order and end up waiting 25 minutes for the food. This meant we had 20 minutes left to eat our food and manage to order a possible round 2 or 3 before the kitchen closed at 9:30pm - scandal. The waiters were nice and apologized many times for their many mistakes, which we were happy about. I would probably also have refrained from writing this review if it wasn't for the many banana flies that flew around our table and on our food. I have visited Izumi often in the last 5 years, but this is the first and last time I stop by Gammel Kongevej Izumi...
