Hotel Marstal Ærø

Hotel Udsigten.... What a fantastic place... 😍 Surroundings ***** It's really nice here in Marstal and the hotel has almost the original beach hotel atmosphere, in the perfect location less than a stone's throw from the water. The house is undergoing renovation, and therefore there is definitely a focus on preserving this cozy atmosphere. Rooms ***** I would have given the room 4 stars as the condition is a bit slow, and there is no TV in the rooms, and there shouldn't be either, but maybe a newer radio, would have been nice, but the view over the water and if you open the window, you can hear waves lapping, is just something you can't get enough of - so 5 great stars. Dinner ***** We had some really good food to eat, delicious salmon as a starter and a fantastic piece of meat for the main course, and an eye-catching strawberry soup for dessert, while Edward Weise played on the beach hotel's piano, was just fantastic. Breakfast *** This was perhaps a bit of a disappointment, because the only thing we think was homemade was a warm beer bread which tasted fantastic, but everything else was consumer goods. If you had just made a few homemade buns and rye bread the day before, it would have given a completely different atmosphere. Summary ***** We can only recommend this wonderful hotel, and once the bathing bridge comes up, I also think that this will be one of the most beautiful bathing hotels we have visited, and good for the price.
