Johannes Dam & Søn Bornholm

The bread, no matter which one, is super delicious. Cake is also highly recommended. The staff is very very friendly. All in all a must if you are on Bornholm. The bakery fits the island.

Absolutely amazing 100% Rye bread. The loaf weighs a ton and can feed an army. Just love the taste. We also bought the plain rye crackers… fantastic!

The rye cookies taste very tasty. They are advertised as having a proud family tradition, local ingredients and no artificial additives or preservatives. However, in the list of ingredients you will find three e-substances that have to be declared (emulsifiers and acidity regulators) and palm fat (I have nothing against that, but it is certainly not local). We ordered 3 cappuccinos at the bakery. They were also quite tasty. The milk jug for frothing was too small (for 2 cappuccinos). But the lady didn't feel like making any more milk foam. So we had three different sized cappuccinos, all with too little in the cup.

The iconic blue box with Rugkiks was born in 1924 and since then with several other varieties and flavors.
