Rib House Hillerød

Lip-eye steak is delicious. And most importantly, the pork bones here are very delicious. Baked potatoes with creamy butter But there is no English menu.

Can be highly recommended We have never been disappointed with the food, service or anything. It has been sitting in the cupboard each time. Both good wine, good salad bar, plenty of toppings for ice cream, nice selection on the menu, nice and easy menu, the food is good and at a good price. Can only be recommended. Bonus info, order a corn cob, uh it can do something 😁❤️👍 Parking not right next to it, but it is Hillerød, so that is to be expected. In return for those who ate there before they removed the large car park where there are houses now (you can now park in the car park's basement) 👍 for a fee but that's the way it goes 😁👍

We went here after we had a tour in Frederickborg. The size is big, can cater to 2 person. Love the rib!

I had the steak and butterfried potatoes with pepper souce. Has all right. The steak was a bit on the rare side, and the pepper sauce could have benefited from a bit more pepper. They did not have a menu in English, but the staff was helpful with translating. All in all a good meal.

There is no fault in the food. The core service is a good steak, and they deliver it. However, there are scratches in the paint, which are probably due to young and inexperienced people - who desperately need a coach or an adult with more overview. It is not their own fault, it is probably rather a management failure. Our steaks were cooked correctly, but one steak was different from what we had chosen on the menu. The waiter could not answer what I had then received. The kitchen had to help with that. Our drinks were wrong and had to be taken back. Fortunately, they brought the correct ones in the second carriage. We got a total discount of just under DKK 40 as compensation for the wrong steak. It is not possible to explain to the staff that the discount was not on the amount on the bill, as the delivered steak was cheaper than what was ordered. We were not asked during the meal if the food was OK, and there was no attempt at upselling or service during the meal. With control over the details, they could well have received five stars, but it's a bit of an uphill climb when both the food and the drinks are wrong, the compensation is low, and the staff too inexperienced to provide a good service.

I felt like having lunch today at Rib House in Hillerød. My experience was quite positive. I got a burger with steak and it was absolutely fantastic and tasty, although the bread was a bit dry. The staff were quick to respond upon arrival and serving. I also bought salad from the salad bar. It was also incredibly fresh and tasty. I give the atmosphere 3 stars. It was not prime-time and the middle table was a bit "boring" place, which drags it down. I will definitely stop by another time and hope for a better location.

Visited on a slow Sunday afternoon when the weather was cold/windy and Frederiksborg Castle as well as the town were not busy so you would think they would be happy for the business. However, that was not the case. Upon arrival to the restaurant, there were only a few other tables. It was apparent from the start that our server did not want “our kind“ “there. As soon as she established where we were from she dropped off the English menus and was very short with while taking our order. She dropped our drinks off and then our entrees and then ignored us the rest of the time we were there. When it was apparent, our meals were finished and we were ready for the check. She proceeded to organize tables all around the restaurant and keep looking at us, almost like it was a competition on how long we were going to sit there and wait for our check. we were polite and put our jackets, hats, and gloves on to go back outside and did all this standing up to make it clear we were ready to leave and she proceeded to still needlessly arranged tables and while staring at us. We eventually gave up and approached the other server for our check at the bar towards the front of the restaurant. We paid our bill and left. We felt very unwelcome and unsure to why we received such strange behavior from our server. The food was decent and the portions were very large. However, I’ll never go back again as there are plenty of other restaurants in the area that will likely treat customers with more hospitality. The restaurant was very clean and well-maintained. Such a shame we had this experience.
