Unkai Sushi Hillerød

Delicious sushi for quite ok money. A bit of a railway station atmosphere due to a lot of take away. But high quality sushi with good taste.

Very popular restaurant. Lots of customers and take out orders. Space is limited so I recommend making reservations. The food and drinks were excellent . The restaurant staff is also very nice. Portions are huge. Please take care to note that if you order off the all you can eat menu that you will be charged regular price for any pieces that you do not eat. I recommend that you order what you think you can eat as you can always add more if you are not full. If you are a tourist, like I am, this isn’t explained to you, so you have to make sure you understand that prior to ordering. The only issue I encountered is that the entry door to the dining room doesn’t close shut and you have to push it closed with a little bit of force. If you are new to the restaurant like I was and don’t know that and the door happens to crack back open the local patrons tend to get a little annoyed with you . So take care to close the door when you come in as I saw many people struggle with this and personally was uncomfortably confronted by a mad woman who didn’t seem interested to give me the benefit of the doubt.

The food was good enough to convert a "non-fish eater" to a "sushi eater", but they are not suitable for parties of more than 4. The place has a cozy atmosphere and could be a suitable destination for a date if you are willing to pay what it costs. However, the space is tight and even though it is electronic ordering, there were still things from our order that we never got, and we had to wait 40+ minutes for our food.

Best sushi restaurant in Hillerød Pleasant atmosphere. Delicious, fresh sushi, also with a good selection for vegetarians. Good, friendly service and reasonable waiting time

If you look for a solid sushi in Hillerød, this is the place! Freshly made sushi and sticks, very tasty, and from good ingrediens. All you can eat concept but the quality is there. They also have take away option. Can only recommend🍣🍱🍡🍢

Wonderful food from fresh ingredients. Will be prepared after ordering on the iPad. Super service, always with a smile. Interior and atmosphere ok. I'm already looking forward to the next time. And I have NOT been to sushi, but at Unkai it is fantastic!

Virkelig lækker sushi, sticks og småretter, intet negativt at sige om maden. Det var den perfekte ratio mellem ris og fisk (ikke for meget ris - det er ikke lækker når der er mere ris end fyld). Vi var her til frokost, maden kom med det samme og betjeningen var venlig. Dog skulle vi selv finde ud af at bestille på ipaden, og tjeneren kunne kun sparsommeligt engelsk, men det hele gik fint. Da vi skulle betale blev beløbet reserveret 2 gange på min konto, og måtte vente nogle dage for at se, om pengene blev trukket 2 gange. Det gjorde de, så jeg gik tilbage på restauranten og fik de penge tilbage som de havde trukket for meget uden problemer :-)
