Brygger Bauers Viborg

Cozy basement restaurant. The benches are not the most comfortable. The food was delicious. Main course and dessert clearly preferable to the appetizers. Grilled lobster tails with delicious bisque. A little too spicy with its curry notes for me and a little too low acidity. The veal sprat was unfortunately not a hit. The sauce was amazing, but the sprats were not that meaty and consisted primarily of breading. The monkfish tail was a nice little dish, but not the wild flavor profile. The main courses The North Sea cod was amazing. The whole dish beautifully put together and with perfect sauce and vegetables. The veal tenderloin tasted wonderful and the sauce and vegetables were also delicious. The rhubarb strawberry dessert was completely outstanding. Was stuffed, but it's been a long time since I've had something so fantastic and incredibly well-harmonized

A hidden gem in Viborg. A city vibrant and full of Danish history. The food was excellent and the staff was absolutely down our alley, understanding exactly our taste. Truly a place to recommend and now we have found our favorite place in Viborg. A plus was the visit by the city watchmen, a tradition several hundreds years old and the small talk with them.

It was a fantastic experience, complete style and atmosphere, and incredibly delicious food! The fish could have done with a little extra cooking, but all in all a lovely place I will visit again!

Fantastically cozy and really delicious food and service

Visited Brygger Bauers Grotter yesterday with 3 old friends. I live in Viborg and therefore had to make sure we had a good dining experience. It is a fantastic setting. We had a 6 course dining experience with wine menu. What a wonderful experience we had - thank you for that. My old friends mentioned it several times, what a great place you have found😊. The icing on the cake was that we were entertained by the guards in Viborg, who sang for us in the Caves.

Wonderful experience today! Our waitress was amazing ,young, professional, and genuinely sincere, with such a natural and warm approach and a lovely sense of humor too. Big compliments to the chefs the food was absolutely delicious. Having visited about five years ago, my wife and I were truly surprised how much you’ve stepped it up. We highly recommend coming on an empty stomach — you’ll leave full and very satisfied.
