Café Englen, menu Aarhus

Really nice little cozy café, where we had coffee and cake. Only average plus, which actually could have been 2 stars, due to poor service - you shouldn't have to wait THAT long for some coffee, soda and cake...

I was a fan of Englen 10-15 years ago when I myself lived in Aarhus and fortunately I still am. It is simply so nice that it has survived all these years. The food is small, but the ingredients are fresh and the portions are on the large side, so it all adds up. The atmosphere and service are always top notch, the staff are welcoming and flexible. And then the cafe is simply so cozy to just hang out and have a beer or a cup of coffee. Selfishly, I hope that Angel never reaches the greatest heights of popularity - because it's another place you can actually walk in from the street and get a seat, even in the middle of an otherwise busy Saturday in the Latin Quarter. So I'd like to be able to come without having to book a table ;))
