Engeln has been one of my favorite cafés in the Latin Quarter of Aarhus since the 1980s. Countless are the times I have eaten one of their fish dishes and then walked around the corner to Øst for paradis to see a movie.

Mormors Køkken

06/09/2026: As foreigners, we had this and it was nice (probably, hard to judge having no comparison).
29/06/2026: There’s a 3 minute wait time for the tarteletter, it was worth it

My Ice Dream

26/09/2026: There is no better place to get homemade ice cream or homemade Arabic dessert. It is a heavenly experience every time, I can highly highly and even more highly recommend Baklava with Arabic ice cream. It is divine!
16/04/2026: Really good service, nice staff and delicious dessert
