Café Gaya Aarhus

Delicious vegan/vegetarian food, hard to find anywhere else.

I found Café Gaya again. There were no customers at the counter, so I asked how it worked there, wherever it was. I was not greeted with kindness and commitment. I am going to an event on July 8th. The guy who checked me in may have had a bad day and was not curious about what I wanted. So it was fine. Another employee came down to the garden to me with my coffee and the most beautiful dried fruit ball. Will be back soon.

Terrible espresso and wonderful food. Frankly, a great vegetarian food experience. I hate to take 2 stars off for the worst espresso I have ever been served from an espresso machine. The barista just ground lose coffee into the basket and threw it into the machine. It sputtered and splashed water through the grounds. The coffee was obviously under extracted and tasted terribly acidic. Just a sour mess with no hint of the full body of an espresso.

It's a nice place. But you have to wait a very long time for your food/drinks. However, you can pre-order, and thus limit the waiting time.
