Café Hvidesøhus Lejre

Love this sweet historic cafe. The staff are so kind! 😊 It has lots of indoor and outdoor seating with beautiful views of the rolling hills around the Sagnlandet park. We got a few hot dogs which were really delicious. Just be aware that you need to time it right, because the line of people can become long, as it's a popular place to eat around lunch time and in the early afternoon. We only waited 5 minutes though. Thank you so much for the great experience! 🙏

I visited on July 9, 2025, and the gentleman at the counter went above and beyond to put a sausage roll on my plate and a smile on my face.

Nice place in beautiful surroundings. A little on the expensive side, but the ham and cheese sandwich tasted good. The cappuccino was downright bad. The rye bread cake was good.
