Dropped in on a rainy evening. Tried a three course build-your-own menu and wait we were spoiled - and there was plenty. The oven baked salmon was heavenly and the pavola balanced with sweet and sour fruits. Highly recommended!

01/09/2025: It is always a pleasure to come to Mathiesen! The atmosphere is good and relaxed, where you feel comfortable and know that you will be taken care of in the best way. The service is really good and the waiters are alert and ready to quickly jump in if there is something or if you are missing something. There is a good dialogue and an honest story about the food and what to pay attention to. There is no overselling and you can feel that they want a good experience for their guests, rather than pressuring people into something. They have a distinguished selection of drinks and their food is extremely satisfying. It is especially wonderful to see that fresh hand-peeled shrimp are served, which shows that quality is prioritized, which is also reflected in their food. Their sandwiches with cheese are really good and the size is not to be complained about at all. Their evening menu is also really good and the composition is well considered. See you again soon. 😊

30/12/2025: So the Christmas song that was on repeat all that time was giving us all goosebumps🫣🥴 I'll try a wider repertoire next time. The food was super delicious
29/12/2025: Ok food, but there is way too much rice per piece of sushi, and the rice is very compact. Especially with nigiri, where the ratio between rice and salmon was completely wrong. It drowned in rice.
