The atmosphere reminds me of the cafes and bars of the 80s in Berlin-Kreuzberg. The interior is similarly diverse and tattered, only the rooms are cleaner, the food is much tastier and the service is much friendlier. The Cafe' Mellemfolk is a highlight in this great city!

Such a cozy and chilled spot to have a coffee or a glass of wine. It's tucked away and has a really good energy and vibe. I saw they had a book club meeting and there's also a piano, just not sure if it's ever being played. Really recommend when in town 👌

Great trip down memory lane. Not one of these has changed in the last 30 years, and hooray for that. A cafe with attitudes and attitude. Would love to come again.

This might become one of my favourite places in Aarhus. It simply has it all: the cozy atmosphere, good music and delicious food and drinks!! Shout out to all the volunteers making this place so magical

20/10/2024: Had a delicious dinner with a dear friend on the occasion of my birthday and the staff were very flexible and friendly around us even though we came in a little late to eat.
12/10/2024: Good food and wine at good prices. Pleasant atmosphere and good location by the river. Friendly and helpful staff. Worth a visit when you are in Aarhus.
