Café N Holstebro

We wanted to try a random café in Holstebro. Café N was easy to swing past. No high expectations, as the price was quite low, for a brunch, compared to other places in the city. But we were pleasantly surprised there. We each got a nice big plate, with a lot of variety and plenty to fill us up. Really nicely decorated too! We were given a basket of bread and told that if we wanted more bread, we just had to ask. We won't forget that place and we'll probably have a good brunch, another day, at Café N.

It's just a great place. The staff are always smiling and know their stuff. The food is fantastic. Best cafe in Holstebro.

Café N in Holstebro must have tested their steak sandwich with sauce. Arrived at 13.05 and was politely received despite being completely full. Ordered the food immediately and it was served at the table at exactly 1.33pm. The food looks really inviting on the slightly recessed plate and there are 2 small glasses with some greens on top, in one glass there are some root vegetable chips and in the other beetroot cut into neat squares. The bun is a delicious soft and warm brioche bun with sesame which tastes really good. The steak is maybe 150-170 grams and is really nice medium fried as I had also asked for, the meat has a super delicious roast crust and really tasty. Delicious with freshly roasted steak. A fine layer of presumably homemade mustard mayo is spread on the bottom bun, it tastes wonderful without the mustard flavor taking over at any point. There are water lilies in it and beetroots that I put on myself, which are fussy about decoration, but unfortunately these 2 things are prefabricated. The delicious pickled red onions taste great and could be homemade. Roasted onions and ketchup were also available and in good quantity. As I have said in my previous reviews, the sauce is one of the most important things and this one does not disappoint, it belongs in the super league and tastes really nice and everything is perfectly coordinated. Could there be more of it. YES. Needed more No. Café N in Holstebro is great proof that you can make something taste good and look delicious by being picky about things, namely steak and sauce, it may well be that almost everything else is prefabricated, but it is still prepared with love and tastes great. Price DKK 120 is a very reasonable price for quality and service. We would love to come again and this steak sandwich is delicious. So 4 out of 5 stars. 5 stars can only be measured if everything is homemade from scratch. But super place, please visit them if price and quality are to be followed.
