Great that John Brædder and family have reopened café Sand. Delicious tapas and homemade Port wine what’s not to like👍

We were there for lunch tapas. The food is really delicious and tastes great. The portions are good sizes and you get full. You get a lot for your money. The only thing to point out is the waiting time to order and pay. We stood in line at the bar and waited 10-15 to pay. Otherwise a really nice place

Great place in Nysted with good ingredients (and good prices) from the local area as well as exciting sardines and wines from Portugal. A unique place on Lolland with a view of the sea. Worth a visit.

Is since few day's changed into tappa bar

We had to ask for bread twice, and each time we got 1 (one) fluffy slice of pita the size of a flute each, and overheard the waiter being admonished by the female manager that "there were ONLY 3 slices for each guest, and our table had asked for extra bread twice!". We even ordered both tapas and sardines in oil, the latter was served WITHOUT extra bread. A well-assorted tapas that called for a lot of bread. Embarrassing for us to have to ask for more bread twice, and it shouldn't be necessary at all. When the waiter sees an empty bread basket and 4 tapas dishes and more than half is left, they offer more bread and more than a flute slice for each. It ruined the impression of the friendly waiters and an otherwise pleasant atmosphere and good food. When we ordered small draft beers, the same manager, despite pouring us large ones, which we paid for without objection. We had 2 drivers, so it was a bit unlucky. Too bad for a newly opened café, get the customer service and attitude of the older female manager under control, otherwise it may not be a worthwhile investment in the long run. It costs 1 star for otherwise really nice food and 2 stars for absolutely fine service from the other staff and atmosphere for our meal.

Café just opened 2 days ago. Such a lovely atmosphere and delicious tapas plate. Very nice hosts and beautiful atmosphere and view of the harbor. Perfect children's tapas with meatballs, pizza snails and gnawed greens with hummus dip for the young guests. Our children were very happy with the food:)
