Café Smagløs Aarhus

Really good open sandwiches, not so attentive service on a quiet Sunday. Nice outdoor area on Klostertorv.

Had a couple of cups of coffee as a break during a walk in the city. Nice oasis a little away from "everything else". Super nice service. Nice relaxed atmosphere.

A café that feels more like a bar. The bartender proudly told us about the place's long history. Inside, there's a bar area and tables for two, perfect for couples or small groups. The atmosphere is quite rustic, and good music was playing from 8 pm onwards. There's a second floor, which we didn't visit. Outside, the spacious seating area was packed until late in the evening when the weather was nice. The selection of beers and long drinks left little to be desired. Unfortunately, there were no cocktails. The bartender tried his best to mix something, but it wasn't a cocktail at all, just vodka and orange juice with ice. The food only gets one star because the kitchen was closed. A real shame, as we would have loved to order one of the many appetizers or a burger. The restroom was very clean despite the busy atmosphere. The prices were high, but reasonable for Denmark. Parking is only available at a premium on the street, some distance away, or in municipal parking garages. Paying in advance with a credit card will save you some money. The best way to get there is by bicycle, on foot, or by bus.

I really like the place and the location, the selection of drinks is also nice, but the food is not very good. I ordered a mushroom toast, and the first thing I notice is that it is actually made on the whitest toast bread, like the toast bread you can buy a pack of for less than 10 kr in Netto. I taste it, and it tastes quite burnt, and I can see that the underside of the bread is very black. For almost 100 kr I probably expected something more. The same with their mushroom burger - the steak is nice, but the rest is a dry affair. Then came the beers, good atmosphere and good location ☺️

Simply the most beautiful and lovely women who work here. If you want to see the heart of Aarhus, come here. This is where I put my feet up again ❤️
