Disotto Roskilde

A somewhat sad experience at Disotto – where price and quality were not at all related. I'll start with a plus though: their pizza dough is really good! Classic Neapolitan, airy, a little chewy and still crispy. We ordered a Pizza Capricciosa as well as Veal Fillet with Gorgonzola and Salmon – the last two dishes for 300 kr. each. Here, unfortunately, the experience completely fell apart. The veal fillet consisted of 3 small slices (about 150-180 g in total) with 4 potatoes that were slightly undercooked, and half a raw leek that had been “fine” with a little ash. The sauce was a bland gorgonzola sauce, with no real flavor. The salmon dish suffered from the same low level as all the side dishes were the same. Even the pizza was not impressive – the toppings lacked flavor, and the black olives tasted like the ones you buy straight from a jar. The overall impression was therefore an undercooked, tasteless and overpriced meal, which mostly resembled café food. The service didn't help the experience either. Our waiter never came by to ask if the food was okay. And the icing on the cake: a jug of water for 45 kr. that just tasted like tap water. No ice, no lemon – just a lukewarm carafe. It honestly felt a bit cheeky. All in all: In Roskilde there are many other places where you get much more for your money

On vacation for a month in Denmark, we already had a craving for a pizza, we saw from the photos that it looked good, we tried it and it was really above expectations, very good and very kind. Thanks also from Alky 🐶

If this is the best rated Italian in Roskilde the others must be very bad. Food was nothing special and very expensive for what it was
