17/09/2025: We had a great night's stay, but please, no camping behavior.
A Dutch couple parked right in front of us across five parking spaces, set up a table and chairs, and let their two large dogs run around without leashes. It's understandable that the Danes were upset.
15/09/2025: I have just been to a 2-day conference/development day in connection with my work, where we were 100 people away, and I have (almost) nothing but good things to say about this place!!
I am a project manager/development consultant, and therefore had to deal with a lot of the practicalities with places. From the moment I showed up, I was welcomed with high service, personal presence and a good tone.
While we were there, I only experienced challenges once with the technology in the large hall, where one of the portable microphones stopped working, which was quickly resolved as soon as I reached out to the staff.
I would especially like to praise their conference coordinator (Heidi) who really put a lot of effort into ensuring we had the best experience, and had a keen eye for everything we had requested. Furthermore, she was a really positive, warm and accommodating person. A real gain for Kobæk Strand to have her as an employee.
The food was okay so far. I personally thought it would have been nice to have a larger selection for vegetarians/vegans, as you could easily (I'm a vegetarian) walk away from the food and feel like you were missing something more substantial, such as protein sources. Otherwise, there was plenty to choose from and the service in the restaurant was really nice!!
The rooms were in good condition and so clean. They had everything you could need, except for one thing (at least in my room), namely better internet coverage/WIFI. I couldn't get on WIFI in my room, which made it difficult to get work done, which I sometimes needed.
I can only highly recommend Kobæk Strand to others who are going to hold meetings, development days, conferences and other things.
