It was excellent. Had ordered Wienerschnitzel. It was reasonable for the price. However, it would have been optimal if it had not been in the wishing well. The portions are a bit small. It would have been nice with more potatoes. And it sucked in every time the door was opened. But an okay experience.

My friend and I had a wonderful experience on Friday, January 23rd, where we were greeted by such wonderful and smiling staff that we will definitely come again.

It took an incredibly long time before we got our food. The steak was half cold and couldn't melt the butter which was frozen. We had booked a table, so the party of 10 people should have been expected.

Be sure to make a reservation as there are limited seats here. The usual time given to dine at restaurants was about 3 hours but because many boat owners would come back in the evening and have meals here, the time is limited to about 1 hr 15 minutes due to the higher turnover. We eventually spent about 1.5 hours here and thankfully, the staff didn’t chase us out or anything like that 😅 One of the main reason why we came to dine at Havne Bistroen was because of the Bøfsandwich – a beef sandwich that is laden with a generous amount of gravy and topped with crisp onions and diced beetroot... 01/04/2026: I have celiac disease, which we wrote in the comment when booking the table. When we arrive, the waiter automatically starts telling me how they handle my food and make it safe for me to eat there, which I have never experienced before, I was super positively surprised, normally it is something you have to try to force out of the staff at the place you eat with a guilty conscience. The food was fantastic, they could easily change what I wanted to be safe for me, and they made me feel incredibly safe. The waiters were incredibly nice, skilled and professional with a warm twinkle in their eyes. The food was fantastic, and again I felt wonderfully safe in what I was served, and how nice is that. Thank you very much, I had a fantastic experience here!
25/02/2026: Fantastic food, one of the best restaurants in Aarhus! Everything was great! Casa Azul tequila for desert with creme brulee, wooow what a place!!
