Helnan Marselis Hotel Aarhus

Great location, rooms are nothing special, very responsive, I had a door in my room to 2 other rooms and then I could hear almost what they were talking about. Apart from that, the location is perfect down to the water, and service/handling top notch from the friendly staff. Only had breakfast, but it was great and a large selection.

Ok rooms, but there is no minibar in the rooms. The breakfast buffet cannot handle a full house, there were long queues and the wait for service.

The hotel itself is fine. Beautiful view if you have a sea view room, good fitness, great swimming pool, good breakfast. I just personally think that parking should be a service that is included in the price. However, here we had to pay. I also found it unacceptable that we indicated several times that the balcony door was defective upon arrival, but 3 days later upon departure it had not yet been resolved. That is not possible in my opinion. Staff was nice and polite and helpful, but the balcony door was and remained broken. Still a pass!

Really delicious place, good food and fantastic view. The pool was a bit dirty as many people brought sand and grass in from outside without bathing in between.

The location and surroundings are top notch. We had a room with a balcony facing the water and it was absolutely fantastic. The only minus was late noise from the restaurant terrace's guests long after 23 on weekdays. Rooms nice size, however it was somewhat worn. In the bathroom, there were mold/mould stains in the joints of the bathtub, large pieces of the bathtub had been broken, so there were very sharp edges when getting in/out of the tub. Washbasin cracked in several places and shower head could only reach approx. 170 height (not practical when you are taller than that). The beds were rock hard and the mattress moved around. The pool area was fine, but also worn. 1 out of 3 lights in the pool worked and one of them he off the wall down into the pool, so our son got a proper blood gash on his leg when he swam into it. Lobby and restaurant really nice and clean. The breakfast was mediocre, and often lacked replenishment. Scrambled eggs tasted of powdered eggs. Bacon and sausages were top notch though. Parking right out front, however it costs approx. DKK 170 per day). Overall, we thought it did not correspond to a 4-star hotel.

It was a good experience and place. will definitely come again

Nice place, ice cream with weather that has a view of the water .. go service.. Minus you have to pay for parking...

Quite dated hotel but the surroundings are really nice with a scenic walk along the beach.
