A beautifully situated hotel in a classic modern style.

Nice older hotel, which is continuously upgraded and maintained. It is the old style that dominates, and a design upgrade would make the whole thing a little more delicious - including the interior and primary surfaces such as floors and walls. However, it makes a nice figure by having, clear focus on upgrading the restaurant, control of the details with fine plants etc. inside and out. Everything is well maintained, so it is only the design line that is a bit heavy and old school. There is control of the functions in the rooms, fine service at the reception, a reasonably nice breakfast, which fits well with the four stars. A minus of the hotel is parking, where they have made an agreement with various parking companies, who charge a good price for parking on the land register - 174 kr. for two days in my case, which is more than 3% of the price of the stay. There are no clearly marked stalls, serious video surveillance etc. It is not the inner city, so the price is too high. You can, if you like, park for free on the public road outside the hotel. The hotel's location is really good in terms of nature, the sea and the forest right outside and connections to infrastructure such as ferries etc. In the immediate vicinity is one of Aarhus' best restaurants, which is very nice. The drive to Aarhus city center takes approx. 10 min. The pool, exercise facilities, sauna and steam bath work and are well maintained - the size of the areas is characteristic of the time when the hotel was established, and does not occupy the same area as newer facilities. Overall, the hotel lives up to its four stars, and our stay was a good experience.

Would return, but improvements are needed This is not our first time staying at this hotel, and overall we have had good experiences here. The staff is excellent (very friendly and helpful) which is one of the main reasons we would consider returning. The location is also a big highlight, with the beautiful Marselisborg Deer Park right next to the hotel, ideal for families, and a long beach directly in front of it. That said, during this stay unfortunately the sauna was not working, and both the sauna and the pool were the main reasons we chose this hotel. We stayed from the 23rd to the 25th, and on the 24th our room was not cleaned despite daily housekeeping being included. Additionally, considering it was winter with minus-zero temperatures, the water was quite cold in the pool. Although the hotel is rated as a 4-star property, some details still need improvement, such as the quality of the breakfast and certain bathroom amenities (including a shower curtain with mold).

The good: Great view, nice staff, good space. The Less good: Expensive parking, their coffee doesn't taste good (51kr for a burnt latte), brown bricks indoors, hard wooden chairs from the nineties in the restaurant, the beds are unfortunately a bit too hard. An experience I only want once in my life.
