Ordered schnitzel twice, tasted great... but was a bit dry and chewy since they had forgotten to include bearnaise/bread.

Det er lidt øv man bestiller mad over jeres hjemmeside, og i godkender tiden, og så er det 20 min ekstra ventetid, plus så bestiller vi pitabrød uden løg, og der bliver sagt mens de laves, husk der ikke skal løg i, da jeg har fået løg i de sidste 3 gange, trods jeg skrev ingen løg, og så kommer man hjem med løg igen. Så ikke nok med ekstra ventetid, så er maden heller ikke som vi har bestilt, skal man vente ekstra tid, kan man give et afslag i prisen , eller en sodavand eller noget for ulejligheden.

Got a roast pork sandwich, it tasted good, the roast was a little dry, but the rest of the filling was delicious, of course a few crispy rinds were added. We also tried a hand meal with eggs and prawns, and you won't find better for DKK 10, no there wasn't a mountain of prawns, but at DKK 10 per piece it was delicious. As Arnold says: I'll be back!

16/07/2026: Visiting the restrooms, which were currently being cleaned... In that respect, the service was good and timely. The ambiance... well, it's a remote highway rest stop.

01/09/2025: It is always a pleasure to come to Mathiesen! The atmosphere is good and relaxed, where you feel comfortable and know that you will be taken care of in the best way. The service is really good and the waiters are alert and ready to quickly jump in if there is something or if you are missing something. There is a good dialogue and an honest story about the food and what to pay attention to. There is no overselling and you can feel that they want a good experience for their guests, rather than pressuring people into something. They have a distinguished selection of drinks and their food is extremely satisfying. It is especially wonderful to see that fresh hand-peeled shrimp are served, which shows that quality is prioritized, which is also reflected in their food. Their sandwiches with cheese are really good and the size is not to be complained about at all. Their evening menu is also really good and the composition is well considered. See you again soon. 😊
