The restaurant is definitely worth recommending. I have been here several times with guests and they are all equally impressed. The food is absolutely delicious and you sometimes get to challenge your taste buds with new, unknown combinations, which just makes the experience even greater. Hotel Saxkjøbing has become my regular place to eat out, both alone and with guests!

Centrally located, with good food and quiet rooms, this hotel is highly recommended. Parking is available around the hotel complex. The hotel has the charm of an old country inn with a beautifully landscaped courtyard. Some details in the rooms, such as the window shutters and light switches, reflect the hotel's long tradition.

For a wedding with 55 guests and overnight stay. The food that the bride and groom ordered should have been easy to make but most of it was very dry. (Spanish inspired). Service, location and rooms were top notch.

Lovely old hotel with its own bakery. Very cozy and helpful staff. We were allowed to bring our dog for breakfast. Lovely breakfast with many options.

Nice old hotel with in my case a small room which is even in September pretty hot. Excellent restaurant with star ambitions. but with Scandinavian prices for food and especially drinks. Like to go back to Germany :-)

19/09/2025: We came an hour before closing time and the buffet food had the impression of having been sitting for a long time. I think it would have been really delicious if we had come 2 hours earlier. 210 kr for the buffet is a great price, as there was a lot to choose from, but 210 kr is just expensive for food that has been sitting for a long time. You could say avoid food waste, eat for 100 kr in the last hour - that's what's on the plates and isn't being made anymore.

25/09/2025: First stop after leaving the ferry and ritual whilst in DK - Ristet Hotdog! Strike! To my point of view and taste very good. Also the French Fries! The service was very nice and super friendly! A bit of a surprise to me was the price for ice cream! 40 Kroner (€5,20) for a scoop has a tendency of street robbery, even for a more touristic place! But again, go there for the hotdogs!
01/09/2025: Great ice cream selection. The soft serve with topping is especially delicious.
