Kohalen Aarhus

A cozy little gem on the south coast, serving classic Danish food, in a traditional setting. But rather expensive and disappointing food. A friend and I ordered sirloin stew. We were served a plate of sirloin stew with rice. I was convinced it was for one person, but it was for sharing. Completely unacceptably small portion for 2 adults for 239kr per person. In addition, it was tasteless. I got the impression it was fished out of a bucket and heated in a microwave. 44kr for a 25cl soda is also on the good side. The atmosphere and service were nothing to write home about, but the food was not worth it, neither in quality nor quantity.

Super dannish cusine and vaitress service at this 100 year old restaurant located once in the harbour magazine area now transforming to a new city area. The food is genourous and danish in all aspect. Meat and fish, eal and full meal danish style proposals for 2 persons dish and you will feel like a dane. Just great.

Extraordinary place and taste of the served food. I will recommend to visit this restaurant all tourists travelling to Aarhus.

I made the open chicken sandwich and the Lara platter of pickled herrings, two succulent dishes! The waiter was very friendly, even though we had reached the cooking time limit. It's worth coming if you're in Aarhus.

The sauce was good on my steak sandwich. A large portion. One waiter looked tired while taking the order 🤣🤣🤣
