Fantastic food and service. Especially the cold dishes are absolutely sublime.

A modern, well-run restaurant. The staff were friendly and attentive. The menu was delicious, featuring innovative oyster creations. We returned for lunch a second time.

The only down side I aptos l would mention is that there is no bathrooms enough for Mefisto's capacity. Resulting in lines and dirty.

My friend and I stopped by for a drink just before closing time. We were made to feel so welcome and had just what we needed! We decided to come back the next day to enjoy their beautiful patio, olives and a mocktail. The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff was very welcoming and you could almost tell you had just come from the south.

Unfortunately, the dining experience was mixed. The appetizers were good, the main course so-so. The vegetables (asparagus and coarsely chopped, thick carrots) were half-raw and almost impossible to cut with a knife. The plate of fish with sauce wasn't preheated, so everything got cold quickly. The head waiter didn't even ask if the food was okay. All in all, not worth the price.

Lovely food, and very friendly staff

Great experience. The white asparagus were accompanied by a delicious sauce. The white fish was delicate and delicious. The pancakes had a fine consistency. The ice cream that accompanied the pancakes was a bit tasteless. The service was informal and friendly. All in all a great experience and highly recommendable.

The food was great okay, fish for the main course great but the fish in the starter tough and tasteless, the soup was good. Vegetables for the main course were hard and poorly cooked. Dessert fine.

Mefisto is a place that knows its stuff. They make really delicious food and they are masters at matching the right wine. The service is usually excellent and you can be sure of a smiling service every time. A few waiters are more stingy with their smiles, but it seems more like personal insecurity than, for example, apathy or arrogance. The atmosphere is cozy and good. If you are lucky enough to sit in the Salonen, you can enjoy the specially decorated room that buzzes with French and maritime sensations. However, you can also be unlucky and sit right next to their small 'kitchen area' where the waiters make coffee and constantly rattle with service and chatter. This is perhaps what you can expect (although it can certainly seem disturbing) but what bothers the most is the unbearable doorbell that constantly rings in said tea/service kitchen every time someone goes in and out of the front door. It's not a small ping, but that 90's doorbell that plays a whole melody of a carillon. This means that you can't enjoy the atmosphere or even just hear the pleasant music that is played out of the speakers. A huge shame. But the food and the wine and the rest of the atmosphere at most other tables than right there, you can't put your finger on. But that doorbell there, something needs to be done about it, otherwise they will lose customers.
