A fantastic experience at Oli-Bistro! The man behind the restaurant, Olivier, is both sweet, friendly and full of good humor – and I really like that. I asked if I could have duck for lunch, and got the humorous answer that I could, but it would take a little longer – because “it’s Morten’s evening, not Morten’s lunch!” 😄 I simply couldn’t help but laugh. The food was delicious, the prices very reasonable, and the atmosphere was top notch. Thank you, Olivier Miens – you are a fantastic sun, and I’m already looking forward to coming back! 🌞

Super French restaurant in the heart of Aarhus with a very special spirit and atmosphere, which is rarely experienced outside of France. As soon as you step through the door, you are greeted by a warm and authentic atmosphere, where the details are well thought out, and you almost forget that you are in Denmark. The service is welcoming and professional without seeming pretentious – just like in the small bistros in Paris, where the passion for food and wine goes hand in hand with relaxed elegance. The kitchen offers classic French dishes, prepared with solid craftsmanship and a focus on taste rather than unnecessary experiments. The portions are balanced, and you sense a respect for traditional French cuisine, where simplicity and quality go hand in hand. Here it is not about innovation, but about delivering well-prepared food at a price that everyone can afford – and it succeeds completely. The wine menu is an endless array of excellent wines, carefully selected to enhance the flavors of the food – and at prices that make it possible to indulge without a guilty conscience. The combination of quality, atmosphere and authenticity makes this place one of Aarhus' hidden gems. A restaurant you remember, long for, and will undoubtedly return to again. French charm as it should be experienced.
