Absolutely perfect experience. We started by ordering a beer from their very different beer menu from local breweries, so we got rid of the usual choices. We got snacks in the form of tappanade, tomato salsa and hummus with the most delicious crispy bread. The waiter took the order without writing it down and everything worked out. Delicious appetizers and the main course was the best deer we have ever had. As a tiny thing, the potato could have been better but probably just a matter of taste. FANTASTIC PLACE😍

Found this place with all the good reviews and it didn't disappoint. My husband had the roast beef smørrebrød and I had the stjerneskud. Warning you need a big appetite for that one. I only managed half of it. Stjerneskud is my absolute favourite and order it whenever I see it and I have to say it is the best I have ever had! The fish filet was large and breaded and fried at the restaurant, so not frozen and deep fried, you can tell the difference. The prawns were plump and fresh, the other fish, steamed I think, was also nice and fresh. The service was very good especially given that we didn't book. We didn't know when we would be there. Also there was a large party in the main part of the restaurant. However we got our food quite rapidly even so. I was able to get the attention of the waiting staff so I could get the bill and that never happens! it's always the most annoying part of a restaurant experience - trying to get the bill. Looking forward to going back some day. We don't actually live in Roskilde so it's a bit of trek but well worth it!

Well-prepared open sandwiches with high-quality ingredients. Price/quality, good balance. The place is located in a park and is very atmospheric. The staff is friendly and competent. Note limited parking and time restrictions. Look for the harbor and water, and outdoor seating.
