A restaurant that is worth the detour: impeccable, fast and attentive service. The dishes, as well as the cuts of meat, were tasty and perfectly cooked. The desserts were just as excellent to end in style, balanced just right As an added bonus, the children loved their menu, especially the hamburger, which was more than generous.

My first full day in denmark, and I visited Roskilde because of the viking(ship) musuem. This restaurant was recommended to me by google, because I wanted to try some Danish cuisine and I was not dissapointed. I learned that danes like the idea of putting a lot of varied stuff on a slice of breat, and this restaurant also had a few of these on their menu, so I tried it. It was really good! It looked great, tasted good, the price was fine - it was just a bit weird to eat 😅 Normally with breat, you have your stuff on it and eat - but on the danish meal version, there is just soooo much on it, you can't possibly eat it all with a bite. I probably looked a bit weird to the locals, but still enjoyed my meal nonetheless. The service was also great, while it was really busy, they still found a small spot for me to sit and eat - all while being super helpful and friendly. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area, and want to experience good service and food!

Cozy resturant. Good food. Friendly and attentive service. The room is in a high basement, hence the name Rådhuskælderen. Painted brick walls, which, however, contribute to a somewhat high sound/noise level. But that's how it is (unfortunately) in many premises. We would love to come again 🙂

Cozy place with well-prepared food and attentive service. It's wise to book a table in advance, because it's well booked - and understandably so.

Lovely food, REALLY delicious and tender English steak! However, served on a slightly broken plate. I don't think the home-made vanilla ice cream tasted that good - nor the chocolate sauce, which was also served cold (I thought/hoped it would be warm). Nice and friendly service, and cozy atmosphere in the cellar 🙂

The context of English menu in drinks was insufficient.

Så lækker frokost, hyggeligt og et vaks og venligt personale. Fik den bedste fiskefilet med remulade (sikkert hjemmelavet) samt en lille engelsk bøf med løg. Perfekt og høj kvalitet. De ansatte var hurtige at vaske borde af og dække op igen. Stemning helt i top.

Good food nothing to complain about 😀

Really good Danish restaurant that gives you a real taste of what Danish food can taste like. It's very much comfort food that fills your belly with warmth. Had three courses that started with a really nice soup, followed by some tender meat, mashed potatoes and pork cracklings, this was delicious and to follow it up with some dessert. Overall happy with this place and would definitely consider coming back again

We dropped in an early Sunday evening and got a table for two. We ordered starter, main dish (beef and lamb) and dessert. The food was very good and the service friendly. We will come back.
