Review: Solid and easy – but not a restaurant experience I would categorize this place a bit as a modern version of Jensens Bøfhus – not as a real restaurant, but more like a high-level cafeteria. Unfortunately, it still falls short of what I expect from a full restaurant experience, where food, service and atmosphere come together in a higher unity. Their “chain-cut” concept is new and works well – the food tastes like we could have made it ourselves at home, which in itself is not a negative. As a buffet, it is easy, fast and tasty, and for the price it is definitely a place I could visit again. This is a place you go to get full – not to have a dining experience. And that is perfectly fine, as long as you don’t expect anything else. The service is fine and exactly as expected for this type of place – friendly and efficient, but not personal or memorable. All in all: a good, casual choice for a weekday dinner – but not something I would choose if I were looking for a special or complete restaurant experience.

Flammen is like any other family buffet restaurant. There is a lot of movement around the place, people going to and from the food, old customers leaving and new ones coming, but they try to keep the calm atmosphere by making small enclaves of tables so it doesn't feel so big. The food is nice, you get full and there's something for everyone, the meat selection is great and after they got their new BBQ theme, there's also a little something for the taste buds. Which is great. Big salad bar, knows what you need there. As well as side dishes and sauces. So all in all a nice everyday experience without being crazy Wow-like, but you get full and that's the most important thing there.

The hygiene around the buffet items should be much better

Gigantic restaurant, but it worked and the acoustics were especially good. Price/quality/selection reasonable, buffet ok.

Really delicious food, great service. We have 6 who visited it in Roskilde, a super good experience.
