As photographers & videographers who have had the pleasure of being present at many weddings at Herthadalen, we can say without hesitation: it is a fantastic, idyllic place to have your wedding! We love Herthadalen for its calm, natural and idyllic atmosphere. The forest, the avenue, the lake and the thatched house provide a truly unique backdrop, both for wedding photos and video. The Nordic aesthetics of the premises, the light wooden surfaces and the minimalist design create an elegant, timeless frame where even the smallest details come into their own. In addition, it is a great advantage for the bride and groom that Herthadalen offers flexible venue solutions: rooms for both intimate weddings and larger parties, with space for up to 200 guests. And then the environmental focus and sustainability are an important part of the experience: the food is made with local ingredients, and herbs and vegetables are picked close by. This creates a holistic experience with respect for nature. The staff, planning and collaboration with Herthadalen have always been smooth: As external photographers, we have experienced good dialogue, quick feedback and a willingness to cooperate, which makes our work much easier. The peaceful and calm atmosphere means that both the couple and the guests can relax and enjoy the day. In short: Herthadalen is perfect for couples who want a wedding day in scenic, authentic and relaxed surroundings without compromising on style, aesthetics and quality. As photographers, we can highly recommend the place.

In the fall of 2025 we held our wedding party there and have also been to a company event. Would give 3.5/5 stars if possible. - Location: 5 out of 5 stars - Communication before the wedding and service during: 5 out of 5 stars Food Wedding, small party: - Snacks purchased: 4**** (the two were exceptionally good while the third on some vegetable was boring) - Starter: 5**** (trout) - Main course: 1* (venison. Everything on every plate was refrigerator cold, the meat itself was sticky and 'gritty'. Ended up eating 40 minutes after serving, when they tried to warm the dish up a bit. It was then 20-30C instead of 5C.) - Dessert: 3.5*** (campfire comfort, which had a stronger smoky flavor than expected. Went well with coffee/red wine) - Petit fours: 2** (two of the three types were the same as the dessert. Can't even remember the last one. I think I got away too easily. Also, it was too chewy). - Drinks: 5***** Company event for 50-60 people - Starter: 5***** (mackerel) - Main course: 4**** (beef, missed extra sauce on the tables, otherwise classic and simple - Dessert: 2** (cream in biscuit tart with fig. Tasted absolutely nothing and few people ate it) So all in all a good experience but don't dare trust them to serve food of the standard we expected.

Fantastic restaurant and one of the best venues for weddings in Zealand. I enjoy coming there every time, the staff is fantastic and there are several options for venues that each do different things when it comes to vibe, look, etc.

We were married on 30/8-2025 at Herthadalen with a subsequent reception and wedding party in the Orangeriet. They took care of all the planning for us, of course we had some meetings so we could align expectations, and we felt in safe hands the whole way through! During both the reception and the subsequent dinner/party, the service was fantastic. So was the food! Our guests have only had positive feedback regarding both the place, which is completely enchanting (and the weather was so kind to us), the food and the service. We can highly recommend this place, which fully lived up to our expectations. 10/10

Nice place, nice staff and generally good treatment. There were just a few quibbles unfortunately, one person in the party pointed out that they can't tolerate garlic, but were served Marbled chicken breast with garlic!, The main course with Krondyr and salt baked potatoes with herb cream was ice cold when served, come on it's probably possible to serve hot food. Practice Practice it ruined the nice evening a bit

Super good restaurant located in beautiful natural surroundings. Was recently a guest at a wedding held in their banquet hall, and it was just wonderful! Everything in excellent order including the food. It wouldn't hurt to have a little more light in the toilets though. There it was just before you couldn't see what you were doing.

Herthadalen gets our warmest recommendations!! We held a wedding of almost 70 people in the forest tent and we can only say a huge thank you to the whole team (everyone from waiters, chefs, to the executive restaurant manager). Everyone went out of their way and delivered a huge job on the day itself and in the lead up to. Thank you for the most amazing wedding we could have dreamed of.

I was here in connection with a wedding and I was quite positively surprised by the experience. I think the location and the atmosphere was really really nice, but I’ll mainly focus on the food and service, starting with the service. The staff were super young, and they were great! We were obviously a bunch of wedding guests, and alcohol is flowing and this means that us guests can be a bit of a mouthful, especially also considering that we are there for such a long time. However the crew maintained their professional composure, they made us feel welcome and were in on the jokes and the fun. The blonde woman who presented herself before the dinner as being in charge for the evening, was professional, funny and very accommodating. The young waiters tending to our table were great fun and once again, very professional. Excellent crew! The food had its ups and downs however. First and foremost the appetizer. Tofu blocks with asparagus and a white sauce? I’ll just do you a favor and skip my comments on that, wtf? 😂 the tofu was literally just taken out of the package - super weird dish. The main course was super nice however! I am more of a red meat guy when it comes to main courses, but the fish was cooked perfectly with nice crispy skin, sauce had plenty of flavor too but the main character was the carrot puree. It was so delicious! So buttery and smooth and full of flavor I really loved the puree. The dessert was also good. Standard and safe dessert to serve (I reckon the newly we’d choose the menu anyways), but it was great! I had three portions. All in all I was quite happy, I think they’ve nailed it here. Except for the appetizer I mean that was such a strange dish. Very nice experience!
