Delicious food. I'm not usually into fried herring, but here it tastes really good! Tartlets are (like everything else) in a special class. The roast pork is the best in town!

Lovely Christmas lunch (the big one), good atmosphere and friendly staff. The staff could be a little more attentive to upselling, i.e. paying attention to empty beer and schnapps glasses, and suggesting port wine for rice ala mande.

Nice and cozy atmosphere, really good ingredients, good at accommodating allergens, nice service, good location. Everything works! 👍

A pleasant restaurant in the city center - with friendly service. An ideal place for an afternoon coffee. My favorite, the créme brulée, was especially delicious. 🤩

Very delicious and unique experience

TL;DR: Kalas delivers great taste at a matching price, warm service and cozy surroundings. 4.5/5 stars (rounded to 5). On a Friday evening, October 10, 2025, Restaurant Kalas delivered a convincing experience. We had the weiner schnitzel and the fish of the day. The wiener schnitzel was just right: crispy, juicy, well-seasoned. However, the highlight was clearly the fish of the day, fine flavor nuances and a fantastic sauce. The food was served without a significant wait. The price and quality are logically related. We were given water with and without a break with the dishes, water ad libitum for 20 kr. sends a strong service signal. The waiters were both nice and professional. The premises are decent and cozy, the toilet facilities are nice. Even when booking, our request for a window seat was met - a clear sign of surplus. Minus: We waited too long for someone to ask about dessert/bill and had to approach us ourselves. Personally, I think the side dishes (potatoes) could be ad libitum. Also, a bit too noisy atmosphere. Overall: A clear recommendation - we will come again.
