🍝🍷 Restaurant Kehlet – when your evening feels like an Italian pet: neat, well-groomed and a little too quiet 🍷🍝 Restaurant Kehlet is one of those places where you get the feeling that you have to lower your voice as soon as you enter the door. The place is so cozy and quiet that you almost expect a sound engineer to be standing in the corner with a noise meter. Here, you don’t speak loudly – ​​you whisper your way through the menu while discreetly folding your napkin on your lap. The food? Yes, it tastes good. It’s not like you have a moment of revelation where you throw yourself on the floor and shout “Mamma mia!” – but it is solid Italian comfort food. It’s lasagna and pasta that fill you up without sending you straight into a coma. It’s more of an Italian holiday in Hammel than Michelin in Milan – and honestly, it works just fine. The service is friendly, but in that autopilot-like way, where you get what you need, without it being overwhelming or memorable. It's a bit like flying with SAS: you get from A to B without crashing, but you don't get champagne in your hand along the way either. The price is semi-expensive, but because you're sitting in nice surroundings, you're almost fooled into thinking it's fair. Everything looks fancier when it's written in Italian. Pasta costs 89 kroner. Penne al pomodoro con salsa speciale costs 189 – and suddenly you nod and think: “Well, that makes sense.” And then season 2 of the experience: After my first review, Kehlet responded kindly and welcomed me back. I couldn't pass up that offer, so I came back. And yes – it was still great. The biggest drama occurred when a customer started lecturing a waiter about how the food should technically be served. I had ordered pasta – but instead got a supporting role in the live version of the Judges from Masterchef. Heck, I don’t need to sit in the third row for “How to Fold a Napkin Correctly.” All in all: Kehlet is a place where everything just works. Nothing more, nothing less. It’s pasta, wine, a subdued atmosphere and a bill you can easily survive – without ever feeling compelled to write to Michelin. Rating: 4 out of 6 pasta screws that are heading in the right direction. Thanks again for the experience, Kehlet – you’re still the place to choose when you want an evening without cardboard trays, fries or drama. But maybe with a touch of entertainment from the customers at the next table.

The food was fantastic! The waitresses were incredibly friendly and welcoming. It was great that the patio is heated and even has blankets. The food was truly delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely recommended!

Ordered a pizza pepperoni, very tasty. Great location and nice people.

Very expensive for what you get for the money. Good pizzas but they have really jacked up the prices on both drinks and food. We were 2 children and 2 adults who got 2 children's dishes and 2 pizzas. 2 beers and 2 sodas about 800 kr..and we weren't even really full when we left.so we won't be back unfortunately

Got a lovely gluten free version of Vitello Tonato. Great attention to handling gluten free version. Very nice service

What a lovely experience. A sharp menu and they are good at preparing all the dishes I have tried so far. Cozy both inside and outside.

Super delicious food, but the price for raw materials is abnormally high. The same is the turnover percentage on the wine list. Absurd prices. Service is excellent, they do what they have to do but nothing out of the ordinary. It was a quiet evening when we sat there, but 4 tables turned away at the door before 8pm on a Saturday night because "the kitchen is closed", is really not a restaurant that expresses a desire to stay open, super annoying. Had aranchini for a starter for 145,-. This tasted super nice, despite the fact that the dish consisted of 80% tomatoes and lettuce with 3 tiny aranchini. For the main course I got Rigatoni Pancetta, which also tasted super nice, but at 225,- it is super annoying that the dish consists of 50% peas. All in all a nice experience, the food and service are fine. However, the pricing is completely off compared to the raw materials used. If you have enough money, it is recommended, otherwise you can get much more food for your money elsewhere in the city.

Was at Kehlet on Saturday night. Arrived with a friend at our booked table at 6:45 PM. About 1/4 of the outdoor tables were empty. We could only get one menu, they didn't have any more. At 7:15 PM we had to get a waiter to be allowed to order. There were otherwise many girls at work, who often stood in the doorway and looked over the tables. We had questions about their wines, which she couldn't answer. She said she was brand new (but unfortunately didn't offer to find another waiter). We therefore wanted to taste the 2 white wines that they sold by the glass and half bottles. She refused. We ordered. The wine came in a carafe (DKK 239 for half a bottle). Unfortunately, it wasn't cold at all, which we pointed out. The answer was that it had been in the fridge. We asked her to look at our glass and explained that a cold drink creates condensation on the outside of the glass. She wanted to go get help.... She came back with a glass of ice cubes that we could use to cool the wine🫣 We protested and then finally another, possibly slightly more experienced waiter came. She didn't think she could give us a new wine, since we had already drunk that one.... Palaver back and forth, and then we got a new, lovely cool wine. The food tasted fantastic and came about 1/2 hour after we had ordered. We asked for the bill, but were asked to go to the bar. It was difficult to get there because of tables/guests that I had to squeeze in between. Good food and wine, on the expensive side, annoying service, it didn't seem like they had been trained at all, neither in wines nor customer service🤷🏼‍♀️
