A cozy and nostalgic place! As a Roskilde native, the premises have a very special meaning and it was great to experience an atmosphere that makes you feel at home right away. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming – you are greeted with a smile and genuine interest. The service is top notch, and the place exudes warmth, history and honesty. Perfect for a quiet moment with a good atmosphere and well-prepared food.

Got open sandwiches, which were quite nice. Was there for lunch, and there weren't that many visitors, but it was freezing cold, so the guests there, including ourselves, had to put on our outerwear

5 out of 5 Stars.. We spent 2 lovely hours with pork roast sandwiches and potatoes, with accompanying beer. Can recommend the “Røde Munk” but the special thing is that you can taste the beers before you decide. Their tasting board is definitely recommended. The atmosphere is cozy and authentic. The music in the background creates a good setting for the place. Father and son provide the best service and love when you ask about the beer varieties that they know everything about the different beers they serve. Thanks for the good experience, we will definitely come back another time. Btw the prices are top 220kr for food and drinks you can't complain about that🍺

Got homemade sandwiches and fantastic beer. Have been there several times and the level fluctuates a bit in how good the food is, but overall it is good.

M/S Sagafjord

12/03/2026: A gem in the harbor of Roskilde, with delicious food (also in the winter season). The restaurant ship Sagafjord has been open on weekends this year over the winter. It is fantastically lovely, but far too few have discovered it. We have enjoyed their good lunch dishes a few times this winter. The food they serve is really nice and you can enjoy the view of the fjord from the front row. We also went to a very nice beer tasting with a lovely well-composed 8-course menu. One of their skilled waiters turned out to be a very knowledgeable beer enthusiast. So we got an exciting lineup of beers from local Roskilde breweries and a finish with mead that turned out to be a surprisingly positive experience. So we can highly recommend Sagafjord also outside the sailing season and hope many more people discover that they are open. So that we can also enjoy their wonderful lunch dishes in the winter half-year in the coming years.
17/02/2026: We had booked our Valentine's dinner here. It's a magical experience to dine on a ship when the fjord is completely frozen 😍😍😍 The staff is lovely and the ambience is great. The food matched the setting :) Full points 😁👍
