Great location to train station but quiet rooms, nicely renovated and beautifully decorated. Only stayed one night but it was beautiful. Really recommend getting the breakfast included. It was such a delicious spread of local and fresh produce, a waffle station, yoghurt, chia, eggs, sausage bacon, cheese and yummy bread.. truly something for everyone!

Tried the mayor for the first time. Usually we stay at a different Scandic. But where lucky to get newly renovated rooms and wow. Very nice. The service from Anna in the reception was excellent she went beyond to help us get some softer pillows. We sat in the bar and did a puzzle. The breakfast was perfect had everything you need and very clean and good. If I would say anything it would be the shower the pressure was not that great. And every morning construction outside. Other then that perfect and will definitely be back soon.

We stayed here for two nights in March 2026. The room was very good, clean and the bathroom was spotless. The breakfast here was excellent with multiple options, As a vegetarian, you are well catered for too. The service at the front desk is extremely friendly and I would have no hesitation recommending this to visitors to Aarhus.

Easily walkable to much of Aarhus! Cannot recommend the breakfast enough. Such a wide variety of delicious high quality food.

29/09/2026: We visited Saray Kebab in Aarhus with our family on a Sunday lunchtime and had a very pleasant experience. The restaurant is functional and rather simply furnished, but overall clean and comfortable. The menu is clearly laid out and includes pictures, so you can quickly get a good impression of the dishes on offer. The selection includes typical Turkish dishes. We particularly appreciated being able to see the fresh ingredients, including skewers, meat, and various side dishes, in a refrigerated display case right after entering. This allows you to see what's available and what you'll receive before even ordering. Our portions were very generous, well-presented, and offered excellent value for money. We found the prices to be very reasonable and appropriate for the quality and portion sizes. The service deserves special mention. The owner served us personally and was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Even as a family with children, we felt very welcome. The free parking in the courtyard is also a convenient feature. Overall, Saray Kebab comes highly recommended for anyone who appreciates hearty Turkish dishes, moderate prices, and exceptionally friendly service. We will gladly return on our next visit to Aarhus.
28/09/2026: Very good food, tastes just like in Turkey. Clean place and nice staff. Had both dinner and lunch the next day.
