Super place for a cozy date with good taste in wines and small delicious dishes. The host/proprietor creates the most wonderful atmosphere. Looking forward to seeing you next time we are on the edge of Aarhus 🤩

This place is amazing, really cozy and intimate. Very relaxed atmosphere and really good service. I almost fell in love with the owner and her sweet servant. Small but really good menu. The wine selection is brilliant

Small, charming French restaurant with fantastic food and cozy atmosphere. Super sweet hostess who is also a cook. We had chevre chaud, coq au vin and apple cake with ice cream and crumble. A warm welcome and perfect service. Can be highly recommended.

We ordered boeuf bourguignon, which was delicious, and quiche lorraine, which was also very delicious and came with a succulent salad. The owner was very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was calm and pleasant. We loved it.

14/05/2025: Fantastic evening at Substans. Thanks for the really good food and lovely relaxed atmosphere. The hosts took a lot of time to explain everything we got and had a nice chat. Just one thing that drags us down a bit. Why do you call it a juice menu when it's more of a cold tea menu? Apart from this it was a really nice evening and a good experience, we would recommend it to others...
03/05/2025: Sublime lunch. Food, drink and service in a beautiful combination ♥️ Many of the dishes had good acidity, so you have to have that - but without it coming over at any point. Yes A dish with issing and chili had good heat, brave serving that divided the waters at the table, personally I was a big fan :) The service was between great presence and mediation, to the perfectly discreet where two empty glasses were just grabbed without the need for words.

16/05/2025: Yes! Absolutely top quality at a reasonable price. The chefs come to the table and explain each course. Only 1 menu available! Take it or leave it! Luckily, I eat almost everything! I enjoyed every bite of every course! Yes, the crew can cook!
