Østergade Randers

We were three people for dinner on a Saturday night. After having tried Øgaden's take away tapas several times, as recent movers we had to test their evening menu. The atmosphere was good. Nice mix of guests. We went with a standard Set menu. Four courses and a wonderful appetizer as an introduction. The three courses before the dessert all had fish as the primary protein. Scallop, tuna and hake. The dessert consisted of a sorbet, ice cream and fromage on a siphon. All three main courses were accompanied by fluffy bread with a trio of butter and tapanade. All dishes were delicious. Preparation with respect for the raw materials. Serving was pure eye candy. Unpretentious service and presentation of wine and food. At no time did we need to call the attention of the staff. At the same time, it was never too much either. Tuning is an art. We will come again.

The restaurant is located in the center of Randers and is definitely worth a visit. Not only is the food excellent, the premises are also very atmospheric and cozy and the tables beautifully set. And then you will be welcomed by a friendly and committed staff. The food is top class and everything was really tasty and well prepared. We were here for Gastro week, where the menu consisted of a delicious potato-leek soup as an appetizer, the most delicious red sole with fennel for a starter, and for the main course a piece of tender and juicy beef with a light mash. Finally, dessert - ice cream with fresh berries. The restaurant had put together a wine menu for the dishes, it was a very successful match, especially the white wine with the fish was unusually good. I would like to come here again.
