Upstairs Roskilde

Comfortable restaurant located on the first floor. Quieter. The food was generally good. The salad was beautifully presented. The meats, with the sauces, the mushrooms, the potatoes... everything was delicious and flavorful. The service was very friendly and attentive. We were well taken care of and were able to relax and unwind.

Strangely empty. This is because it's very pleasant, it's quiet, and we liked the food. A pleasant surprise. Only the service... the waitress sometimes disappeared (I think to help in the kitchen) which made "communication" difficult. But it wasn't serious.

Highly recommended! My wife and I couldn't stand another crowded and trendy restaurant in Copenhagen (where we live), with yet another round of absent service. So we searched around a bit and came across Upstairs in Roskilde. We gave it a try on Friday, and wow, how fantastic was it! Beyond all expectations. Two absolutely great young men who provided the best service we have experienced in a long time. Incredibly polite and accommodating boys. My wife is more challenged when it comes to coming to town and eating, as she has celiac disease, is vegetarian and is lactose intolerant. She mentioned this to the waiter, who immediately went to the chef. They quickly came up with an ad hoc version so that they could accommodate my wife's special food needs. It was without any problems or surprises! Really pleasant to experience. We have never experienced that before so smoothly! Thank you for that, and thank you for a calm and nice atmosphere. And oh my, the food! It was fantastic 🙌🏼 🥰🥩🫛🌱🍷 Good meat, world class bernaise and a good plant steak! Probably the best roasted vegetables we have tasted so far 🤤 Bon apetit! Highly recommended. We will come back to Roskilde again one day. Especially because of upstairs 😄.

Nice, cozy place. The staff seemed a bit absent-minded. The soup was incredibly delicious, the meat was ok, but the dessert was tasteless.

Nice place with a calm atmosphere. Really good food. Meat from the grill was perfectly cooked (medium rare) Highly recommended

Nice restaurant with good food close to Roskilde Cathedral. Tables were not too close and the service was great. I had lunch, and there were plenty of options. Both my colleague and me, enjoyed what we were served.

Good food to affordable prices. The tiramisu for dessert was excellent. Had game as main which was delicious. No the biggest wine list, but found an excellent Chateauneuf du Pape.
