Fine, except for the location on the 1st floor. Away from other guests and wall space without windows and therefore no view. We don't want that anymore.

The restaurant is located in idyllic surroundings of forest and lake - which is almost a bit like an old Morten Korch film. The restaurant is a renovated half-timbered building that fits perfectly into these settings that surround Gisselfeld monastery. Good service and ideal for weddings - christenings - parties or a good lunch in these perfect surroundings. Good parking options

This is of course a personal opinion but I thought the lunch plate was way too salty. The surroundings are absolutely amazing!

Since we had beautiful weather, it was a pleasure to sit on the terrace and enjoy a really good cup of coffee and a delicious piece of raspberry layer cake. 😋

5 years ago we got fish fillet on rye bread and with homemade remoulade for DKr 85.00 per piece. Now we came back again and I got a curry herring for DKr 145.00 It tasted okay and the place is cozy, but the prices have completely gone up. We won't be coming here again 👎

Fantastisk service og en uovertruffen service. God mad og top op på alle parametre. Maden kom hurtigt og så virkelig flot ud. Smagte rigtig godt....

08/09/2025: The food was good. The cutlet on toast was delicious, well-fried. The waitress was "a bit" offended.
23/08/2025: Really nice experience. We were 4 people and everyone was extremely satisfied. They can really cook a good steak to perfection. They take pride in cooking good food, and not least being there for their guests. The menu changes continuously throughout the year. They have few dishes, but on the other hand they are really good at making those dishes. They know their wines, and white wine is of course kept cold in an ice bucket at the table. We will definitely come again and again.

31/10/2025: Absolutely delicious lunch, where everything was super fresh and flavorful. Good service and a really cozy place *updated* we celebrated a big birthday in Koral café. The owner took it very seriously and we were invited to a wine tasting and planning beforehand. We gave Louis free rein and had the most delicious dinner, which my family is still talking about a year later. It was absolutely perfect
