Vrads Station Silkeborg

When we arrived we had to find the table we had reserved ourselves. We had to sit in the train carriages outside. Not ideal when you have two elderly people with you. And we were sitting so close. There were 7 of us. No one came to give us menus or ask about drinks. The young people definitely couldn't multitask. After 20 minutes we had to grab a waiter ourselves. Had to order a buffet as the a la carte would take a long time. Elderly people and stairs and plates are not a good combo so we moved so we had to sit outside. The food was ok, but there was just never enough of it and it was definitely not hot. Several times we had to ask them to refill it. And it took a long time. They had no overview. It seemed like they had too many guests to serve them. Would not recommend the place to others.

A lovely historic place and wonderful food 🥘 🚂

A lovely place with impressions and a cozy atmosphere.

We had the buffet. The hot food had been on the buffet for a long time and was lukewarm. Not delicious! Really nice service from the young people, so we didn't bother to say anything about the food to them.

Cozy restaurant/café in an old train station. The area around is very nice to walk in. Good food and good atmosphere, especially if you get to eat in one of the old trains!

A super nice oasis in the middle of a clearing in the forest! We were 2 couples of friends, 9 people, and we ordered 5 shooting stars and 4 children's menus. We had been made aware that the chef was not available due to a shoulder injury, and that it was the wife who was in the kitchen, so we could expect a little extra waiting time. But after half an hour we asked for our order and it had not even gone through to the kitchen... the waitress apologized profusely and assured us that they would get started right away. As compensation, they would like to give us drinks free of charge. Very nice. The food was really good. Large, delicious portions. When we were finished, we were asked if everything was as it should be, and then they would like, as extra compensation, to give us an ice cream on the house bill before we had to return by train. Really good service and we could tell that they were very sorry that they had 'forgotten' our order. Thank you for the good and professional treatment. Definitely worth a visit. Very authentic and generally a good experience, both for children and adults 😊

Delicious food, cozy place, good handling of a slight delay. Would love to come again

It was a really good lunch. 🤗 And the ice cream is really good too. Beautiful surroundings and facilities.

A gem in the middle of the forest. Like stepping back in time. Had lovely coffee and cake. You can also get something to eat. A unique place worth visiting.

Cozy place in the middle of nature. Nice little cafe/restaurant.
