Food was really good! Surprised at the bad reviews but maybe it depends on what you order? We had the shooting star dish with bread covered in fish and shrimp and also their beers and all was delicious!

I was able to enjoy the terrace of this restaurant on a magnificent sunny day. The service is very good, and the food very good. The setting makes the whole thing ideal, as we are immersed in a visit to a splendid museum.

We had a delicious lunch in this cozy restaurant in the middle of the museum village. We had a lovely time outside. The service is very friendly and smooth. When you order coffee, you get a jug 😊 The food was delicious, fish, various types with fresh bread and butter. Highly recommended. Gæstgivergården's lunch serving Served with Den Gamle By's freshly baked rye bread and whole milk bread, whipped butter and Gæstgivergården's savory lard with apples and herbs from the apothecary garden Faroese salmon with smoked cheese and radishes. Fried herring with shallots and dill. Chicken salad served in crispy vol au vent. Salt-cured ham with a purée of 'Ingrid' peas. Meatball with pickled vegetables. Matured 'Havarti' cheese with crispbread & rhubarb compote.

Was greeted by a good atmosphere and happy waiters. The food was a few pieces of salmon smørrebrød and one with spiced herring, yes it took a while but when it came it was forgotten because it tasted good. So a thumbs up from here

A really good place for a break in a large museum. There are quiet corners, the food is well prepared and reasonably priced. On a very busy day, we were met with high service and a fairly short waiting time for serving.
