It's a place I can highly recommend, because you get really good service and the food is also really good. You just need the warmth, otherwise it's like being in Greece. Cozy rooms, you get an atmosphere from Greece.

Then I finally went and tried a gyro. It was really good. Honestly, better and much more flavorful than the ones I had in Greece. Great service too. I will definitely be back.

Lovely spot. The lamb was delicious and the flavors were amazing. Maybe the potatoes were tastier than I expected and for someone who doesn't like vinegar, maybe skip them. Everything else was really nice 🙂👍

A taste of real Greece! My husband and I were there on Saturday night, ordered kleftiko (unfortunately they didn't have my favorite briam) and chicken gyros. The food was delicious! I really liked the courtyard, so cozy and quiet. The staff is really welcoming. I highly recommend it!

04/04/2026: Åben Århus is one of those places you always come back to. The atmosphere is relaxed, the beer is top-notch, and there is a genuine geeky love for good craftsmanship. The selection changes constantly, and you almost always discover something new and exciting on tap. 🍻 It also says something that Lucas Ørskov has practically made the place his second home. He reportedly drinks many jugs in there – and it's not without reason. Lucas brews his own beer and has even won silver at the Danish Home Brewing Championship, so when he approves of the level, you know the quality is high. 🍺🥈 A small practical note at the end: Remember to bring your own mug. It's part of the charm – and then you're ready for another good round.
