16/09/2025: The pizzas were a dream! I've rarely eaten such a delicious pizza. The bases were perfectly baked and the toppings were very generous. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. One small drawback: in Denmark, which is very cashless, cashless payment is unfortunately only possible via MobilePay, which is not available to foreign tourists. However, since the customers are certainly predominantly Danish, this is perfectly acceptable to us and won't deduct any points for it. So, to the non-Danish tourists: don't forget your cash! 😉 We don't understand why this pizzeria only has 3.8 stars here. It definitely deserves a 5 out of 5.

13/08/2025: It's a very cozy place, we sat outside in the cozy fairy-tale garden. Friendly and nice service. The food is 5 stars.

06/08/2025: We visited restaurant Madam Blå on Friday and we came back today and had yet another superb dinner with 3 well-composed and extremely tasty dishes - plus a nice and warm service by Heidi Oberneuwirther🤩 We are very happy to have discovered this gem in the middle of Fjellerup and can highly recommend Restaurant Madam Blå 👍 Best regards Mette J

02/09/2025: Huge downgrade for this restaurant. Very cold food. Rubbery consistency. Really bad sushi. Soda without fizzy. When I addressed this to the clerk, she would not take any responsibility. Just referred to the 4 others in the restaurant, who were then sitting and eating without complaining. Too bad you can't listen to the customers who pay for a dining experience. A restaurant in disrepair. Not at all like it used to be.

22/07/2025: Found this amazing place by chance when we were looking for accommodation in Djursland. It looked so good in the pictures that I was completely suspicious that it was a scam. It certainly wasn't. What a nice place. A little outside Grenå, in peace and quiet. Super nice rooms and a great breakfast. If we go up here again, we will definitely check if it is available again. Cheaper than a tiny, uncharming hotel room in Aarhus 😂😂

23/10/2025: We ordered something last week and had dinner there at the end of our holiday and the food is excellent. Highly recommended if you want good food. If we are in the area again we will definitely be back.

07/07/2025: Only place in Grenaa that you can go to no matter what time of day it is! Can be a lifesaver in an emergency, plus love when they have deals on Booster 3 for 2 and every fifth one free 😮‍💨

19/07/2025: Close to the square in Grenå, in the pedestrian street Lillegade, is this Thai Restaurant. We had a table outside and enjoyed the Thai specialties, which were tasty.

26/09/2025: The food was good, unfortunately the spicy dish was not as spicy as I had hoped. But otherwise it was excellent. They were nice and friendly. Good service.. But it lacked a little "cozy atmosphere" the room was a bit cold compared to the food and service. But a good experience.

31/08/2025: Hard to find accommodation on Anholt with private bathroom. So the prices are way above the level elsewhere and you don't get much for your money. Pretty basic for what you pay for 4 stars in the center of Aarhus. But that's the level here on the island.

17/09/2025: We had been given a gift card because my sister couldn't use it. And that's the only reason we haven't complained about the facilities. If we had put money into it ourselves and it was a trip we had been looking forward to because we had wanted it and had something to celebrate, we would probably have seen it differently. The room was in VERY need of a loving hand. We're talking about very visible paint stains, peeling paint, wallpaper with holes in it, furniture with damage. And then it shows that it lacks thorough and more time-consuming cleaning. The food that was included in the gift card was ok. It just needed a little more love to give it more depth and flavor.

12/09/2025: We had received a gift card. And we are happy about that, because then we would not have to pay money ourselves. We arrived and received good service at the reception. They gave us salted fish 🐟 because we were allowed to use the gift card after the expiration date (That is really good style) We were given bubbles and fruit for the room. That is also nice. Just not when you have cut out the daily cleaning. Then you have to have dirty glasses and fruit leftovers to stand in the room. Not particularly delicious. Especially not when it is hot. And apropos of cutting out the daily cleaning to save money 💸. It is really a bad idea, as it affects how clean the rooms are. Because the cleaning staff will not be more to clean, in many cases the opposite happens, there will be fewer to clean, and then there will be less time per room and that was reflected in the cleaning. It was not dirty, but very "shabby" in the corners. Two zeros and a cobweb more, then I would have considered it dirty. The rooms are VERY worn out. And if we had paid a regular price for the room, I would have complained a lot about it, or left the hotel. We stayed in room 202. Even the bed is very worn out. Included in the stay we had received on the gift card was a meal on the first night. 7 servings in the restaurant. Yes, yes. That sounds great. And the food was also beautiful to look at. We came as the second table to the restaurant this evening. And even though the serving staff was not busy, they walked very fast through the restaurant. Almost in small races. It gives a kind of "stress" We had a nice waiter who told us that it was a new menu. We started by getting bread 🍞 stale homemade bread. It just didn't taste like anything. There was clearly no salt used in the bread. It's a shame when you spend time making homemade bread. By the way, there were 3 appetizers, served as social dining. I would have called them snacks the way they were made. Not a starter. Here it was also very clear that the food had not been tasted. Which we told the serving staff. And then the main course came. It looked great... it tasted of nothing. A real shame. Once again, we made the serving staff aware of this, and I said myself that it was probably because it was a new menu. Then came the dessert. Here we had hoped that we would then get some taste. But no 🙂‍↔️ We got a Panasonic that was almost "chewy". Maybe it had had too much house wine and had been in the fridge for a little too long without film. Because the surface was more "chewy" than the rest, on top was a berry sauce that you couldn't tell what tasted of. Then there was a very dry "class hour cake" that only tasted dry and a little of coconut. The last element of the dessert was a baked apple cake, which was also nothing to shout hurray for. But it was the highlight of the meal. If we hadn't asked for a little art break, we would have been challenged in between 30 and 45 minutes. Which we had guessed, because when we arrived, all the starters and bread were ready to be served in the open second-floor kitchen. And shortly after we started eating, the desserts were being served. It was quite clear that they just had to throw the food at people's heads as quickly as possible. Which made the restaurant seem like a feeding frenzy. The concept of the food experience completely fell apart. When you break it down to 7 delicious dishes, you have automatically set your expectations high. But they already dropped when we got to the table, and it was more important that there were houses and everything else on the tables than that you lived a proper setting. The cutlery was in a "bucket" on the table. Which would have been nice if it was a cafeteria or if all the food was served in a social dining style, with a relaxed style. We opted out of eating in the restaurant the second night. We had breakfast the two mornings we were at the hotel. The breakfast was okay. But nothing I think I can highlight. It's a shame that a hotel like this is so much influenced by the fact that their guests either come from Deals. We are glad we didn't pay anything for the stay.
