01/05/2025: Tonight we celebrated my father-in-law's 70th birthday with All you can eat pizza. There were 9 of us in the company, and we arrived at 17 when they opened. The first 2 pizzas came 40 min later, and 20 min later one more came. Since each pizza is cut into 6 pieces, it is simply not enough to put one pizza on the table. Those who did not get pizza sat and waited up to 35 minutes without food. For comparison, a couple of parents with 2 boys aged 6-10 sat next to us. They kept getting 2 pizzas at a time and there were 2 plates of crusts on their table! Of course, it also takes a few more pizzas when half are left as crusts, and they didn't seem to be charged for them. I had to go up to the bar myself 3 times to order additional drinks, there was almost no service, so far too few at work. There was an extremely long wait for the pizzas, and when we left after 2.5 hours, 9 people had managed to get 9 pizzas delivered. We waited 35 minutes for the last one, and I even went up and said that then we had to do without it, as we didn't want to wait any longer, but then it came. As a starting point, the rules are that a company has the table for 1.5 hours - in that time we managed to get 5 pizzas! They themselves say that on average a guest eats 1.6 pizzas each, in which case we should have been there 1.5 hours more to get it. The price has just been raised to DKK. 149 at all you can eat. Of the 9 pizzas, we got 2.5 potato pizza, 1 margarita, 0.5 mushroom pizza, 1 ndjua, 2 genovese and 2 proscuito. This gives an average price of DKK 129. per person at all you can eat. If we had ordered the same 9 pizzas and taken them home, we would have saved money compared to the concept, and we wouldn't have had to wait 2.5 hours for food, and could also have saved the money on drinks. The staff is super nice and the pizzas are also good, although some of them have really a lot of crust. But the concept has become worse than when it was per slice - my husband and children have tried this with success. It is not immediately a place I want to recommend further, and the acoustics in the room are miserable. It's a real shame, as Asger's is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise very sad selection of restaurants. However, something needs to be tightened up before we want to get there again.
25/04/2025: I arrived approx. 5 minutes before opening time. (16:55) Was offered a table that could only be used at 18:30, as I was otherwise set to sit at the bar. I order pizza ad libitum and a glass of water. The first slice was served 20 minutes later. And piece no. 2 another 20 minutes later. When it was 6:25 p.m. and piece no. 6 was served, there was a bit of a rush for me to finish, even though at 6:05 p.m. I offered them to move to the bar so they could get the table ready. The food was phenomenal, but 6 slices in 1.5 hours. (Equivalent to a pizza and a slice) It was not worth the money. I would have been better off just buying a pizza, eating it and leaving the place for less than pizza ad libitum.
