09/11/2025: The atmosphere is very cozy, with candles lighting on the tables and a nice music in the background. We had probably the best pumpkin soup so far, and the cakes are delicious while the drinks very refreshing. There are also tables outside so I can simply imagine how wonderful the place is during the summer time. The light house definitely worth also to be seen as the trip there takes 10 minutes.

19/11/2025: Ordered a salad pizza and it tasted great. Went out and did some quick shopping and came back to a great pizza that they kept warm so I could take it with me and enjoy on the road. I will definitely be back.

29/12/2025: A few years ago I wanted to have a nice dinner there in their premises. I drove there and was given a tour by an older woman. She didn't seem super excited about me as a customer and even said when I had questions: “It's only a 20th birthday after all”. I was upset when I was ready with a lot of money and wanted to have a nice dinner. My mother had worked closely with Dyrehøj during her time as owner of Strandhotel Røsnæs and my family has donated a lot of money to Røsnæs through their foundation, Bent O. Jørgensens Fond. So it surprised me to receive such poor service when I had only heard good things about the place from my family. The birthday party was not held there for good reasons. Because I simply didn't feel welcome. I've thought about it sometimes since then and hope that it's different now and that they will now remember that regardless of age, appearance, etc. you don't know which customer you're dealing with. Because even though I was 20, I could afford a nice sophisticated dinner and wanted it out there because I appreciate the wine. But besides that, I have had other visits to Dyrehøj that were nice and they also have good wine. Another feedback I would also like to give is some more complete aesthetic framework in relation to the premises. The chairs she showed me were classic community center chairs and there were other details that (in my taste) could be better. But all in all a nice place.

How wonderful it is to find a place where everything is made from scratch with good ingredients. This place is highly recommended

17/07/2025: Vi kom forbi i dag ,og bestille kaffe og kage .....Den søde og høflige unge dame vidste ikke hvad dagens kage var og måtte ind og spørge???. Vi fik kaffen (ikke særlig varm )og ventede så på kagen,da vi havde drukken halvdelen af kaffen måtte vi lige ind og spørge efter vores kage ,som vi kom med en kande kaffe som denne gang var varm !!!!. Måske ikke den bedste oplevelse på en torsdag eftermiddag hvor der ikke var særlig mange mennesker.

07/08/2025: It's really not easy to find a variety of vegetarian options in the area, so this was a real stroke of luck. We had vegetarian burgers and fries. Since they were out of veggie buns, they offered to make new ones if we were okay with waiting a bit longer. Super sweet! The burgers were delicious, and the fries were crispy and well-salted. The staff was very friendly. If we go out to eat again while we're here, I'm looking forward to trying the Asian dishes :)

23/07/2025: A lovely place in Høng. In the middle of the deserted road from Jægerspris to Funen. Then such a nice restaurant appears. Delicious open sandwiches and the sweetest service, friendliness, smiles and a nice chat. Everyone contributes to a happy and wonderful atmosphere

23/11/2025: Food and service were quite ok. But the fact that a 6-year-old, while playing hide and seek, got a tear in his pants and a wound on his knee from a piece of glass that was under the gift table, and 100% did not originate from our visit, the innkeeper had nothing to spare. Not even a word of apology. He claimed that it had been vacuumed, but we could see that he either needs a new vacuum cleaner or someone who will do the job properly. Therefore only two stars for him. Five stars for the waitress.

23/09/2025: We had the fried eel. It wasn't a hit. Fatty and boring. It's probably 25 years since I last had it, don't need to have it again. It's probably not Skipperkroen's fault, I just remembered them better. We've had good food here before, so I'll choose something else next time.

13/12/2025: Excellent food and a very pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant is perfect for both family gatherings and meetings with friends. An additional highlight is the carefully selected wine list — this is where we found the perfect wine. Definitely a place worth recommending.

19/10/2025: My wife and I visited the Mexican steakhouse yesterday, 18-10-25. Really good experience and atmosphere. The food and especially my steak was some of the best I've had in many years, we ordered their 3 course menu and were not disappointed, everything was perfect, starter, main course and dessert uhmmm.... The staff were incredibly sweet, friendly and not least fast, our starter came really quickly, and at no time did we have to sit and wait for the food. So we will come back and can really recommend the place. Thank you for the delicious food.

13/12/2025: I ordered a dish that was described as having salad, kebab and fries, but the salad was not delivered and the chilli I chose was also missing. The food was also dry and did not taste good. This can be seen as misleading marketing and I hope the menu is corrected so that other customers do not experience the same.
