Really a lovely place. Nice rooms and good service

We have just been on a weekend stay from September 26 to September 28, 2025. We come from Fredericia and on Friday afternoon I sit in the car and read the various other people's reviews and some where I sit and worry, where I think omg what have we ordered. But I have to say it was all done to shame. Delicious food and in appropriate quantities, delicious rose wine and my husband likes his red wine. Cozy little room, which was clean and neat. Servers in a super good mood and humor and fresh to humorous chat and smiling staff in general and a reasonable breakfast buffet. Cozy outdoor area and 10 minutes walk to the beach or coast if you want. Nevertheless, I would at least give 5 stars for a great stay. That said, just a few small footnotes. Maybe a mild toilet scent in the toilet in the room could be an idea (vanilla). Watercress as a garnish on the appetizer instead of parsley. And 2 extra Tonics for the Gin and Tonic Water package that you can buy. If we were to think about going north again, Aalbæk Badehotel would definitely be where we would stay again. Lovely place with good rooms, lovely food and really good service.

We stayed for two nights in May for an anniversary. In my opinion, calling the place a seaside hotel is misleading. It is more like an inn. The rooms are similar to Danhostel's rooms, but nice and clean. The food is quite good and the old inn room is very authentic. The waiter was very service-minded and nice. The breakfast was fairly boring and was served in a boring room. All in all, an ok stay, but it is not a place where you sit and enjoy yourself in the evening outside the season. And the feeling of having gotten a lot for your money was lacking, as the quality was according to the price.

The anniversary offer was great. Lovely freshly prepared menu and super friendly service.

A little gem south of Skagen. The hotel is nice, the rooms are nice. The food is exceptionally good and the staff is really nice and helpful. The guests are mainly aged 50 plus which gives peace of mind. We have already talked about going again and staying at Aalbæk Badehotel. This hotel is recommended

Really nice food and cozy outdoor dining

Decent rooms, but overpriced and average quality at the hotel restaurant. Eat better in Skagen or Frederikshavn, or some of the other restaurants in Ålbæk.
