Ok, but a bit tame food. Service was present, but the atmosphere was pleasant, albeit shrill

Crowded place but good beer. After all, it was the opening day when I was there, so maybe a little less crowded at other times

Cozy, nice place with great choice of beer and friendly service. DJ from around 10pm and a hip crowd.

Super nice ambiance, nice steel design with the brewer containers and dimmed lights. Service was good, big portions and atmosphère was great but hard to have a conversation due to the loud noise. Ordered the snacks, which were all fired, the scalop toast was amazing. Dumpling soup was very good, the chicken on the other hand was too sweet (but the portion was very generous)

Visited ÅBEN Brewery, in Copenhagen and tried their beer tasting experience. It was a solid way to spend a couple of hours—laid-back atmosphere, helpful staff, and some really good beer paired with interesting food. They served three beers as part of the tasting: 1. Pilsner Light, crisp, and super easy to drink. 2. Bryg 61 – Hazy IPA This one was juicy and full of tropical flavours—mango, citrus, maybe even a bit of pineapple. 3. Fruited Berliner Weisse (Sour) This was the most unusual beer of the three—fruity, sour, a little sharp—but refreshing. These were paired with snack dishes sourdough beer-battered pastry called Æbleskive filled with fried cod and a yeast cream, (fancy, but it tasted great); Grilled Chicken in miso BBQ and tonkatsu sauce, with some carrot and pistachio stuff on the side (it was amazing); Mascarpone Ice Cream and a mix of yuzu mousse, lemon grass, millet and yoghurt (a bit out there, but actually worked); Venison Tartare and Langoustine were also part of the sharing menu, and both were tasty and well-prepared (bit on the fancier side) Overall: The beer tasting was fun and felt well thought out. The staff were friendly and explained everything without making it too technical. The food was creative but still enjoyable, even if you’re not used to Nordic flavours. Would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re into craft beer or just want to try something different while in Copenhagen. Not pretentious, just good beer and good food in a nice setting.

Åben has understood Kødbyen and perhaps a notch further than its neighbor Warpigs. I've lost count of the number of craft beer joints that serve burgers with varying results, Åben probably had that. The first visit that included food was a week or so after the premiere, when an Italian restaurant hosted a guest appearance that was both competent and had potential. Åben has now come so far that they are investing in an ambitious kitchen and in my opinion, on my last visit, they have something going on. The place is fantastic after dark, big tanks and pipes don't bother in the slightest. A large and completely open kitchen with a generous number of bar seats lifts the atmosphere even more. For starters I had a crab salad that was both fresh and filling, lovely texture to the meat. Possibly a little too cold, some of the flavor was lost there. The main course with wonderfully hearty and well-seasoned dumplings in a lovely broth was top class. I realized afterwards that I would have rather drunk wine, which would have gone with a pretty small selection. But you go to Åben primarily for the beer, but now there are additional, very good, reasons.

The lobster was the most exquisite experience! Always service with a smile. Definitely the place to visit if you want a High end class experience 💃

A large selection of very good quality beers. Nice atmosphere inside, the surroundings are also interesting, a pleasant place a bit out of the way.
