AC Lounge København

I visited AC Lounge at Bella Sky – and unexpectedly ended up in what felt like a very well-behaved taste festival. I (M) had a poké bowl with Faroese salmon, and let me just put it this way: this was a real poké bowl. Not a random bowl with rice and a little fish on top, but a well-thought-out combination where the flavors actually worked together. The silky salmon, the dried seaweed, the dressing and – I’m pretty sure – the pickled radishes played surprisingly perfectly together. Everything complimented each other, without anything trying to shout the loudest. And the portion size? Absolutely spot on. You leave feeling full – but not in a food coma. My son had a kids’ burger. And here comes the review’s most credible data point: he praised it. A lot. It happens about as often as a total solar eclipse. So when a normally very reserved burger reviewer suddenly hands out praise, you know something has been accomplished. And then an extra, but important point: a big compliment to the female waiter with short hair and English speaking – the service was simply sublime. Present, professional and pleasant in that rare way that you unfortunately don't experience so often in the industry anymore. All in all: AC Lounge at Bella Sky delivered both food and service in a class that feels better than what you actually expect in a lounge. I left there full, satisfied – and a little impressed.
