If you are looking for good ad libitum in Aalborg, then Ai Japan is the perfect place. We got the luxury version, and even though it cost 303kr per person, it was worth every penny. In addition to delicious appetizers and sushi, you can also get a large selection of Japanese and other Asian dishes. It is also a huge bonus that dips and dressing were free with ad libitum. They have shaved ice for 19kr, which is also a recommendation. We were super super happy with the whole experience and will definitely be back.

The food is absolutely top class. Everything takes place on an app and works super well. You sit nicely close to the other guests.

A really good sushi place with good service and atmosphere

Fantastic place. Definitely our favorite sushi restaurant in Aalborg. The food quality is top notch and surpasses all other restaurants in Aalborg we have visited. We will come again many times.

The food was absolutely fantastic and well worth the money. The place itself was very Japanese-style and pleasantly decorated. The only odd thing about the whole restaurant is the amount of time you wait for your sushi. We waited 50 minutes for our first round of sushi for only 2 people. On the other hand, they were extremely quick to serve appetizers and desserts. We got their normal sushi alibi. The sushi, although there was a wait, tasted perfect. The service was super good and very accommodating. However, the tables were set far too close together so that you could not pull out the chair without hitting the person behind. Tolitet was intended for both men and women. However, the temperature was almost below zero and I started to shiver when I was in there.

The food was nice but the system for ordering feels more like a fast food take away restaurant than a dine in restaurant. Beef sticks should use a better cut of beef don't recommend. Sushi was to big to fit in the bowls given for soy sauce. They were hard to eat in one bite.
