Friendly waiter. Food was delicious. Nice big fluffy naan which was also crispy. Curry was nicely spiced with lots of chicken pieces. Very good experience!

Super service, really good authentic food

A Pakistani/Indian restaurant with Pakistani workers According to the restaurant supervisors, all meat served is halal. I did not need a reservation to enter the restaurant, and to book I used their website https://www.al-diwan.dk/menu/ Its standard is good as an Indian restaurant and the treatment in general is good and represents a lifesaver for those looking for “halal” food. The price is somewhat high, about 400 in local currency, or 230 Saudi riyals per person at the date of writing this review in 2025, but the country in general is expensive, and this price is expected for a well-known restaurant.

The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly. The food was exceptional, especially the biryani bursting with flavor. Everything was delicious. Mango lassi was also very good. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious meal in a cozy setting.

Ricette tipiche indiane ricche di sapori intensi e bilanciati: questa è la descrizione di ogni pietanza che ho assaggiato in questo incantevole ristorante. Le porzioni sono molto abbondanti: dividendo in due una porzione di samosa (sono grandi e saporite) come antipasto e prendendo un piatto principale a testa, ognuno col suo carboidrato di accompagnamento (il naan all'aglio è morbido e non troppo pungente) siamo usciti pieni e soddisfatti. Nonostante le lunghe lodi che potrei tessere sul cibo, l'essenza del locale è il proprietario: simpatico, gioviale, accogliente, capace di consigliare i piatti in base ai gusti, e ha avuto l'accortezza di chiedere a ciascuno il grado di piccantezza che preferissimo su ogni portata.

Amazing staff! Everyone is very friendly and the service is fast. Food was great and very tasty. If you are in Copenhagen and like Indian food, you should definitely come here.

Had a quick meal and was very impressed. Different from the standard food you would get from a typical similar place in the UK but very enjoyable. Better than some restaurants in the UK that are rated great but the experience did not match expectations. Food was good, tasty and different enough to be interesting. Pilau rice is served with peas which was a surprise 😂. Tuesday evening and the place was really busy. Would definitely come back to try some different dishes

Probably the best south asian cuisine in Copenhagen, the food and service was outstanding and we had a great experience. Prices are on higher side but you get high quality for it.
