I don't know how you can give this less than 5 stars. It is an incredible and unique experience that is second to none. I can only advise every foodie, gourmet and lover of good cuisine to experience this event once in their life. I believe that it makes no sense at this point to describe the 50 gears in detail and, if necessary, to analyze them analytically. Of course, with 50 courses, there are a few courses that either don't suit your individual taste or contain products that you wouldn't want to taste (e.g. lamb's brain). Here you simply have to differentiate and keep an eye on the big picture: the whole evening has one motto, which is implemented in its entirety. Various problems and global political issues are addressed; an attempt is made to sensitize the guests to the major issues of our time. You have to be open to that, then you can perceive the evening as what it should be: an inspiring journey. Conclusion: absolute recommendation

A Journey Beyond Dining: Alchemist, Copenhagen
Stepping into Alchemistin Copenhagen is like entering a realm where food, art, and culture collide in a symphony of sensory overload. This isn't just a restaurant; it's an *experience*—a meticulously crafted journey through 50 mind-bending courses that challenge your perception of what dining can be.
The moment you walk in, you're immersed in an otherworldly atmosphere, where art installations, theatrical lighting, and ambient music set the stage for a truly avant-garde meal. Each dish is a masterpiece, blending molecular gastronomy with storytelling, often addressing profound themes like sustainability, social justice, and the human connection to nature.
From edible plastic trash to a perfectly shaped miniature human heart, every course is a performance in itself. The chefs, led by the visionary Rasmus Munk, seamlessly weave global flavors with Nordic precision, creating dishes that are as thought-provoking as they are delicious. One moment, you're savoring a delicate bite inspired by Japanese minimalism; the next, you're experiencing a dish that sparks conversations about the environment.
What sets Alchemist apart is its ability to transcend the boundaries of food. It's a multi-sensory exploration where art installations, immersive visuals, and cultural storytelling come together to elevate every bite into a profound moment of reflection.
Alchemist isn't just a meal—it's a 5-hour odyssey that leaves you questioning, marveling, and utterly in awe. It’s not for the faint-hearted or the traditionalist, but for those seeking to have their minds blown and their palates awakened, this Copenhagen gem is nothing short of revolutionary.
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (if there were more stars, it would deserve them all).

We couldn’t get a reservation as they sell out instantly so we decided to set an alert on their website and it worked! They had a last minute cancellation and they were able to fit us in.
We have been to quite a few Michelin starred restaurants all over the world and the experience at Alchemist was by far our favorite! Get the Exhibit pairing (mix of cocktails and wines) and thank me later! They have the most welcoming staff and we loved that they have a very casual vibe (including the dress code) so it didn’t feel pretentious at all. It was pricey (around $2k USD) but worth every penny. Would go again if we didn’t live across the ocean.

What an experience! The food was creative, explorative and very tasty. The service was absolutely outstanding! What really made it an unique experience was the atmosphere and especially the dome was incredible. Truly a memory for life.

Alchemist is one of the most unique restaurants in the history of Michelin restaurants in the world. It was founded by chef Rasmus Munk in 2015. In 2016, Lars Seier Christensen (co-founded Saxo Bank, resigned in 2016), an investor of the three-Michelin restaurant Geranium in Copenhagen, approached Rasmus Munk, hoping to take the restaurant "Alchemist" to a new level and decided to create an unprecedented restaurant experience. Alchemist 2.0 opened on July 4, 2019. In just a few years, this two-Michelin-star restaurant led by chef Rasmus Munk was ranked 18 (2022), 5 (2023), and 8 (2024) on the Best 50 list, and was called the most immersive restaurant ever.
