Amalie København

Placed reasonably close to the busy touristy centre, I wanted to find a decent place to eat i.e. somewhere authentic and not there to rip tourists off. Found Amalie near the palace. Lovely little place with a good menu and lovely staff -> all very engaging and happy to talk in fluent English (we did try a bit of Danish but it's a tough language). We had a couple of beers which were gorgeous and smorrebrod and a chicken salad, both fresh and very tasty. Would definitely recommend.

This is my second time coming here and it's super cozy. And the food is really delicious.

A typical Danish restaurant in the center of Copenhagen. Great and very friendly service. High-quality ingredients. I'll be back.

Loved the visit. Very classic smoerrebroed. They have three types of tartar. The server helped us to select one that went well with other smoerrebroed. Staff are cheerful and friendly.

I went for lunch and ordered the steak tartare, which was delicious!

I always stop by Restaurant Amalie when I'm in Copenhagen. It's always just as pleasant.

The terrace, the fish and the bread were the high time of this meal ! The interior is also very charming and location ideal to go after the changing of the guard

Ce restaurant est dans un demi sous-sol aux pièces minuscules et bien décorées. Le personnel exclusivement féminin semble constitué par des danoises, ce qui donne une belle touche d'authenticité. Le service est aimable, attentionné et efficace. Nous y sommes allé 2 fois durant notre séjour. Les Smorrebrod (des tartines garnies de toutes sortes d'ingrédients), qui sont semble t'il le navire amiral de la gastronomie danoise, y sont goûtus et variés. Le mot Smorrebrod est traduit en Français par "Sandwiche ouvert". En compter deux par personne pour un appétit raisonnable. La carte des vins est limitée mais suffisante et les bière y sont variées. Le Smorrebrod restent selon moi, une bonne cuisine paysanne du dimanche. Les tartines ou sandwiches ouverts de San Sebastian (Espagne) sont d'une classe au-dessus.
