Lovely atmosphere and friendly service. The food is nice quality, just simple and very small portions. We did expect it to be slightly more elevated for the price. Except the cheese plate for desert, melted butter on top of cheese is simply not a great idea.

The food was very good when it came and the service when it was there was helpful and friendly. However, overall the service was very slow for quite small portions, at times we felt forgotten! Not quite the dining experience we were looking for in terms of service.

Ancestrale is such a cute cozy local place tucked away from the busy street. Amazing selection of wine, super lovely service and the FOOD. Local ingredients, great taste and a lovely twist of flavour. It’s an amazing place for both menu dinner and just a nice chat over a glass of wine. Visited couple of times and always had the best time. Really really recommending.

The food is great, the atmosphere is good, the wines are good. A place I keep coming back to.

My husband and I are always looking for something new and a little different. Ancestrale didn’t disappoint! Very pleasant and cosy wine bar with a terrific menu. We basically had everything on the a la carte menu (apart from the cheese), and a delicious Austrian Sauvignon Blanc.

Insanely fun and darling eatery. The atmosphere is very homely and the service is very attentive! But most importantly; the food is fantastic. Special flavors and lots of vegetables. The 5-course menu is highly recommended. We will definitely visit again on our next visit to Copenhagen! For the Dutch; the food is comparable to the food at de Kas (in Amsterdam).

Super vinbar og restaurant i en klassisk københavner lejlighed. Meget kompetente og afslappede tjenere og et knivskarpt køkken. Vinen er øko/natur, og det kan blive meget funky, men man får gode råd og vejledning. Genbesøgte Ancestrale 9/12 - stadig en fantastisk og kompetent betjening samt mad og vin i top.

Ótima experiência no geral. Fiz o menu (400 kr) + harmonização com vinhos (400kr). O serviço é cordial e se mostrou muito interessado em explicar os vinhos. A comida é delicada e inspirada na região. Ambiente acolhedor.

Simple and tasty, this cozy restaurant is worth a visit. The service was great and our waiter really knew her wines (all of which are natural). We did wait quite a bit for the main but it didn’t take away from the overall experience.
